that Prince cover of Creep was lame. I don't know why people think that was so good. Prince blew me away though, otherwise. Best set of the festival and one of the best shows of my life.
how about a reformed Beta Band?
I completely agree with you. I hope every Coachella in the future is as great as this one as far as the quality lineup and space to move around.
I think this is him at the rocking Swervedriver set. I love people that can get into a show like this:
This was my 6th year, and usually a smaller artist falls into this category for me but this year it was Prince. I had no idea he was the greatest performer/guitar player on the planet before the...
Yes, that was him. You must have been like 10 ft to the left of me. You're probably on the video
here's some footage I got of them:
I hope you get a grant for this.
They were great. One of the best sets of the festival
I have video of this guy jumping up and down in front of me at Swervedriver. what other sets was he at?
seriously...every day I walk up to the festival and see all those tents and wonder why anyone would want to camp in the desert with no shade. I have camped at festivals before but no way I would do...
I did and got really good video of it.....great set. I will upload to youtube soon.
I hope she's alright. I saw a young girl climb into that tall weird treehouse thing tonight and this guy followed her. I thought it was kind of sketchy but I for some reason didn't do anything.
I enjoyed the $1 energy bar that security gave me props for bringing in. "nice call" he says.
best sound i've ever heard. those towers of speakers out on the lawn made me feel as if i had giant headphones on even though i was like a mile away from the stage. kind of jaw-dropping
Prince absolutely floored me. Best headliner ever.
There has to be somebody that reads this thread that is staying in Palm Springs Thursday night and wants to go to this party. Let's share a cab!
I agree, I really wanted to see Black Mountain. Now nobody is going to see them. I'd be very happy to see their set time pushed back.
i'm 6 ft 2 and my car seat is all the way back. I doubt anyone who is 7ft can drive a car with a clutch safely
let's share a cab from Palm Springs, somebody. Holiday Inn
Is anyone staying in Palm Springs on Thursday and would like to share a cab to this thing?
It's walking distance, the airport is right in the city. It's gonna be a hot walk carrying all that stuff you're bringing though.

I had lots of sex with numerous anonymous partners. They were all wearing masks. Wait, this isn't Coachella I am thinking of, it is the movie Eyes Wide Shut.
it's not a Dodgers game.
I'm going to that show tonight in Portland. I'm very excited.
7ft tall doesn't remotely guarantee you'd make it to the NBA. With remotely good coordination you might be able to get a scholarship to play college ball somewhere though.
But the other way you could be a jockey. could be lucrative and fun.
both have their advantages/disadvantages. If you were 7 feet tall, you'd have to buy a special bed and your car would have to be specially fitted for you. You would constantly be hitting your head on...
Nick McCabe of the Verve
40 acres and no mule? I thought it was a package deal.
plus there was that whole Crusades thing. The Pope was all about some Crusades.
He's on tour right now and had a gig at Washington Nationals' Stadium yesterday. He has a hole in his tour schedule. Might we be seeing the Vicar of Christ under the palm trees in the desert on...
Two Princes is bigger than Prince
Good predictions other than Goldfrapp, who I think might possibly be too big for the tent.
Swervedriver are definitely playing in the Mojave tent though, on whatever day they are playing. They...
scalping piece of shit
I don't believe that at all. Prince is great and all but this is not going to sell the festival out. It's a little late in the ballgame for tons of people to plan a trip to the desert to see Prince.

I left off Radiohead because they would probably win every poll. I probably should have left off Arcade Fire. Great, now I have AIDS.
despite what band you like the most, which performance on the DVD did you think was best?
(sorry I mispelled Kool Keith)
this is the type of thing you find out for yourself after years of attendance and don't tell anyone.
I agree, this is the best lineup since 2004
you never see any khaki pants at Coachella
not really brit-pop but...
= amazing live acts
