People pay $50 to see Blood Orange? Must be a nice venue...geez.

Yeah the C3 site was completely down, thankfully the Front Gate site was working fine if you went there directly which I quickly figured out in time to get tickets for Beck, CHVRCHES, and Spoon. Beck...
aw shit...I hope those late April dates start by the weekend after Coachella W2...my folks booked a house in Palm Springs til the 22nd, after which we could head to LA. U2 is my dad's favorite band.
I saw them at Outside Lands last year. They were really great. Thao is extremely charismatic and fun to watch.
38 shows, and nothing? :(
Pretty happy with the aftershows this year. Definitely gonna do Spoon and CHVRCHES, and maybe Beck depending on price. Why does Jenny Lewis w/ Belle Brigade have to be literally during Outkast, ugh....
Would Goldenvoice go for AC/DC? Their new album is apparently mixed, tour rehearsals expected to start in October, album out before Christmas, and tour starting soon thereafter.
I'm bummed to have missed Outside Lands after going last year for the first time. It's a really pleasant, beautiful festival and the bookings are right up my alley. I hope they get headliners that...
Hearing this brings me some sort of sick pleasure.
10/03 has single day passes only still available too, it's not sold out (yet).
Nope, just Beyonce. Thanks for your helpful post though.
Yeah, Queens blew Muse away, and I love Muse.
Tori Amos was fabulous last night in Austin. She looks absolutely amazing for 50 and probably sounds better than she did 20 years ago. Such solid vocal control. I read somewhere she's performed over...
Yeah, I mean they're both rock bands...best headliner they could open for..
I'm pretty sure he was always listed. Austin360 pointed out that they appear to have added Jhene Aiko on Sunday of W1 to balance out Lorde playing W2.
You should check out Bleachers, you might...
Limp Bizkit is still a thing? Wow I had no idea.
Yeah not too happy about St. Vincent vs. Sam Smith vs. J Roddy Walston but that's still a no-brainer for me. The answer is always St. Vincent.
Still glad I'm not going on Saturday. Blech.
It's a horrible venue with awful sound, bad sightlines, oversold GA areas - and somehow they manage to make people wait in line outside to get in the building for 1-2 hours.
Really wish they had...
Tears for Fears are touring
9/17 @ Austin Music Hall according to C3's website
The schedule of set times will be out next week.
Guessing it goes something like this:
Main1: OutKast - Foster the People - CHVRCHES - Sam Smith
That's a great attitude and it definitely leads to discoveries. It's just not worth it to me to trek all the way out there if there's really not even one band I'm dying to see that day, and get more...
Enter the main stage area from the right. The walkway is divided so that the left side has far less space and basically none of the rail directly in front of the artist.
Yes. Glad you found all the hassle worth the trip. I actually really enjoyed the slow middle section with the piano and what seemed to be requests. Great crowd that actually was quiet and paid...
I'd never listened to Nick Cave or even heard of him before Push the Sky Away came out, and I missed Sunday at Coachella last year when he played, but after seeing him last night in Austin I can...
The Cure / Beyonce / with Foo Fighters or Tool would be pretty cool and close to ideal.
Is Massive Attack big enough in the U.S. to headline Coachella? I honestly don't know enough about them.
The Saturday lineup is just awful. It's stuffed full of predictable mainstream crap (Lana, Skrillex, Major Lazer, Icona Pop, Lorde) and some mediocre indie stuff that isn't particularly interesting...
Good. Soundgarden to get the energy up, and NIN to leave you in awe.
I left the park right when Nine Inch Nails finished at 10 and headed to the Indy. Missed Cherub opening but saw all of Yeasayer's set, I think they went on around 11 or maybe a little after.
Hmm...that blows. Although if it means a Jagwar Ma show at Emo's sooner rather than later, I'm down for a reasonable exchange.
I was kind of looking forward to laying on the Auditorium Shores lawn at night listening to Death Cab...oh well. They're nothing amazing.
Boourns is right, St. Vincent is fucking great and if you haven't seen her, you should NOT miss her for a band like Modest Mouse.
Hopefully she's filling that month-long gap from mid-August to mid-September in her U.S. tour dates with a bunch more. She needs to come play ACL Live.
Jack White replaced Drake.
Headliners of the year award?
Alejandro Escovedo – ACL Live, 1/11
Tennis w/ Poor Moon – The Parish, 1/15
Wild Feathers w/ Saints of Valory – Stubb’s Indoor, 1/22
Disclosure w/ Vic Mensa – Stubb’s, 1/31
Darkside – Emo’s 1/31...
Arctic Monkeys' show in October at the small(er) hockey arena here in suburbia is selling horribly. Tickets are still available in every section including floor GA. Don't know why they thought they'd...
Fitzgerald's in Houston, not Dallas.
I don't care who or who doesn't appreciate Arctic Monkeys. I'm allowed to have an opinion about them and I stated it. I never found anything about their music that stood out or seemed unique in any...
Phantogram opening for Broken Bells in small to mid-sized venues? Interesting.
Yup, boring. They were boring opening for The Black Keys in 2012, and they were boring at Free Press last year. Fast paced songs doesn't make the music interesting.
Sept. 4 – Pomona, Calif., Fox Theater Pomona
Sept. 13 – New York, N.Y., JBL Live at Pier 97
Sept. 28 – Boulder, Colo., Boulder Theater
Sept. 29 – Denver, Colo., Ogden Theatre
This lineup would be completely horrible if Foo Fighters weren't picking up the slack.
OutKast - they won't care by November
Arctic Monkeys - boring
Skrillex - nothing needs to be said
Index Festival, held in the Deep Ellum arts district of Dallas, TX, will be expanding from 2 to 3 days in 2014 for its third year. They just released the first 1/3 of the lineup last night. Not bad...
Paul McCartney's Dallas show that was supposed to be next week was rescheduled for the Monday after Weekend 2 of ACL. God, October is going to be insane.
Well they're playing a mid-afternoon set at Bonnaroo, so good luck with that, Alex.
That Jack White setlist just doubled my excitement to see him at Free Press in Houston on Sunday. It'll be interesting to see which songs he chooses to cut since he has a 90-minute set and that show...
yeah Jagwar Ma was incredible...
I skipped Bombay Bicycle Club at Coachella because I had a ticket to see them a couple weeks ago, but I ended up not feeling well that night and bailing on the show. How was their Coachella set?
I got 4 right: Neutral Milk Hotel, Death Cab, Gardens & Villa, and Run the Jewels
