hmm.. how would i verify if the home is foreclosed or not? he told me it's a brand new home that has just been built and no one has stayed in it yet.

that's great advice! hopefully it doesn't come to that but if we need to i guess we'll have to shell out for a hotel, luckily we got the park n ride shuttles so it's a bit more flexible.
