Their 2007 set was not exciting, even with Frusciante.
Hey everyone. I am in the exact opposite position that I was last year. I have a weekend 2 pass that I NEEEEEED to trade for a weekend 1. Someone pleeeeease help! Thanks.
Bumping again. Someone pleeeeease? :)
Immediately. Since the headliners were so skippable, the undercard was immediately where my eyes skimmed.
The Knife and Fiona Apple.
I am in possession of a Weekend 2 pass, and I am looking for someone who is interested in swapping their Weekend 1 pass for my Weekend 2.
I'm going to miss seeing that money leave my account until Layaway for 2014 begins though.
Ticket officially paid off as of today. Do PM and we can set up exchanging receipts to verify. *fingers crossed*
So, a friends wedding date has put what appears to be an annual cramp on Coachella planning.
So, I am looking for a weekend 1 wristband swap for a weekend 2 swap. Did the opposite...
It was rampant during Gold Panda as well. Thought it was pretty fun. The pit during Win-San Western was pretty cute too.
Highlights of today: The Field, Gold Panda, Dinosaur Jr. and Nicholas Jaar.
Both days were epic in their own individual way. Well played Sean.
Going alonesies as well. Wearing a grey My Bloody Valentine shirt and black cutoffs.
This, like the Knife or Boards of Canada would warm my heart and soul. I'm too cynical to believe it will ever happen though.
Awesome! Half way through and all of it has been thoroughly enjoyable.
If I recall correctly, this show was announced a day or two before it happened. And, it was a day after FYF. That could have played a role in it feeling light in there that evening.
I miss caring about who might be in the Sahara. Now I just look forward to who I will see in the Gobi/Mojave at night.
Aerosmith is fucking awful.
They were quite loud at the Glasshouse. It was just an Outdoor stage issue.
Tickets will be easy to find the week before the event, regardless of how fast it sells out. That being said, its quite possible next years event will sell out completely during the presale (as is...
2012 has been really female vocal driven for me between SIIVB, Sleigh Bells, Grimes, Beach House, and Best Coast. With The Idler's Wheel coming sooner than later, I don't see that changing. Clouds...
That guy is a fucking clown. I want those two minutes of my life back I wasted reading that piss poor writeup.
^^^^ For being that close to the stage, it sure felt sound wise we were quite far away. The energy of the pit and the band made up for it though.
The utilization of the airhorn really bummed me the fuck out during this set.
I still have chills from Exit Music. Perfection.
Monday saw the ramping up of my ubiquitous runny nose, and an annual refueled desire to quit smoking. We'll see how that goes over the next few weeks.
Thursday nights rendition of the theme for Fresh Prince of Bel Air there was a lot of fun.
Bring this back in 2013 please. So much easier than bringing dry ice or buying bag after bag of ice from the General Store.
You and Whose Army?
I really underestimated how amazing this set was going to be. Had me near tears during a few songs.
Ever since they alleviated the bottleneck of foot traffic between the front and back of the polo grounds with the food court and additional access to Mojave and Sahara, it has not felt truly crowded...
HM: At the Drive in,Sbtrkt, Bon Iver, Wu Lyf, The Weeknd.
Since I might be in the Sahara for Jacques and SebAstian, and that is about it, I'm hoping my exposure to that song will be limited to whatever assholes decide its a wise idea to listen to the most...
I'm not sure how Refused is going to impact me on Outdoor, following the experience at The Glasshouse. That show was incredible.
If I can see about ten minutes of crazy ISAM production after Refused, I'm happy. That record is listenable for about 10 minutes anyways.
Hopefully that 25 minute delay prevented them from playing most of the songs from their sophomore release.
I'm sure it was pretty empty after he played "Used to Know."
Was a lousy idea to begin with, but I am glad you did not waste much of your weekend.
Sorry bro, maybe the second weekend they'll play Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Bands often play a lot of their new stuff at the beginning of sets, and then transition to older tracks as the set goes on. If this is shocking to anyone, go to more fucking concerts.
I would be okay with 50 cent going home.
How will I ever find out the lackluster lineup for Hard Summer Fest this year now?
Move out of Orange County and near areas that have respectable night life spots that don't require driving? Better solution.
Will not miss Detroit Bar. That place was so far from the freeway. Was a DUI waiting to happen for me and the friends that didn't manage to get one. Plus the greeezy mexican food place near by was...
Only the best for Coachella. Spared no expense.
They played it when I saw them in Chula Vista, and it was far from boring.
Double that number for approximation to accuracy.
And yeah, I'm guessing we will get "Kush" for sure. Which is a shame.
Lucky and Idioteque on the same set list during these recent shows has me hoping there is a slight chance I'll get to hear my two favorite tracks by my favorite band at my favorite place in the world.
Would love to go to the Pomona show, but I'll be setting up tent and enjoying the Thursday night party in the camp grounds pre weekend 2. If it weren't for that, I'd say the Pomona show is pretty...
