I only see Saturday singles, not Sundays.
I dug whatever song NPR premiered a few weeks ago.
Well that was a fun weekend. Honestly Cut Copy was a bit of a blur but AFTER on Saturday night/Sunday morning was pretty awesome and I'd love to return there someday. Hope it sticks around. I need to...
In case I end up going I reserved a room at the Motel 6 Tropicana.
What's the consensus on the possibility of single day tix? Whoever manages their FB page gave a vague response to someone - "not right now" or something
Forum Night 2 was better than Santa Barbara Bowl but dug the Dead Kennedys intro. Drank way too much afterward at some bars on State St.
I should be at Cut Copy on Friday if anyone's sticking around for that. Quite the 3-day lineup there. Staying right next door at the Flamingo.
Well, I'm now most likely not going but please report back!
Has anyone been attending any of these? How's the sound? I missed all but the tail end of Jagwar Ma's set Weekend 1 and really want to make it this Thursday but I might be leaving for Vegas the same...
Thanks. Damn, so Owen Pallet would be before Dan Deacon...ok.
I'd ask for tonight's set times but I'm sure I can find them "on my own"...
Anyone going to Cut Copy next Friday? I might be there solo, or with friends who don't really dance.
Re: Petty I liked "I Should Have Known It" off Mojo. As for the new one, the last track especially stood out to me on the first listen.
Cool thanks. I'm coming up with a friend and want to figure out how much time we'll have before to hang out around town.
It went well. My dad was nervous about his speech but he did fine; the best man's was surprisingly awkward. Also I'm pretty happy I reached my goal of losing 30 pounds, the morning of the wedding.
Kitten's self-titled debut has a lot of gloss to it but I like the mixture of that Prince/Janet Jackson/Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis R&B with the more standard new wave. "Devotion" is my personal...
I'll be in section 104 for Saturday at the Forum, and section J in Santa Barbara.
Does anyone know set times for SB yet?
Anyone been to After? I've been curious since seeing that list of "DJ rules" and they recently moved to a location inside Mandalay Bay.
Kitten & Nilu played Friday, but I was out of town.
The "vocalist" makes the video.
^ good read.
I don't remember much of their prior material but I really liked the stream on Pitchfork of the new album. And this isn't really an apt comparison but it reminded me a bit of...
My sister got married this weekend.
This is awesome.
I was so bummed to miss his last solo tour about ten years ago. Screw another Genesis tour, I'm holding out for this.
Any indications what day the Cure might play Chicago? I'm going to see the Replacements in St. Paul the same weekend and would like to work this in.
I was contemplating selling my St. Paul tickets to see the Replacements here, but after seeing the daily breakdown I've decided to stick with the original plans.
What's funny about them is I really liked their first two albums, well Revolutions Per Minute in particular. But it's not like they ever really changed their sound. I've gone back to those two and...
I'll be there. Up in the balcony, row 17.
Does anyone think DFA1979 is going to be a quick sellout at the Observatory? I'd prefer to wait and pick them up from the box office this weekend.
I've heard great things about Gojira and Kvelerak, so I'll probably go then. Looks like my 2014 calendar's not much quieter than last year...
I don't think it's Moroder actually playing, just featuring his music.
I'm curious to see Mastodon but I've consistently heard mediocre things about their live show. Truth or BS?
So how was this?
I'm hoping they announce the daily lineups at least a day before the single day onsales.
I guess it's probably more hassle than it's worth, coming from Orange County.
Anyone planning on going to Phantogram's free set on Friday?
"Mass casualty" event at Avicii concert tonight in Boston, over 80 injured and 36 hospitalized
EHG is having a shitty week; read that they also had their van broken into or something.
How long before your alarm? I may need your cat.
i stumbled across this, streamed the pilot yesterday...what do you think?
Well, I walked in on their opening set for Paramore last year in Vegas and it wasn't that memorable save for a cool "Policy of Truth" cover. But this album is infectious and I'd like to see these...
Contemplating going to see Kitten at the El Rey tomorrow. Album stream: http://kroq.cbslocal.com/exclusive-stream-kittens-new-self-titled-album/
I haven't seen them live in probably a decade or so, but the few times I did I noticed that for some reason they played all their songs significantly slower than on record.
Yeah, I'm ordering this.
No Sacrifice either, which he did at Honda Center '08. Pass
But Phil Collins solo tour?
