  1. Re: QUEENS of the STONE age appreciation thread

Yo, I used to live in K-town right by the Wiltern, so here is a map of some bars in the area. I am planning to go to Novel Cafe, right next to the Wiltern, which has a decent happy hour and lots of...

    Re: FYF Fest 2013

Yes, and the later start time makes it more feasible this year. Wurstkuche was a great way to lay down a giant beer/sausage/amazing fries base for all the boozing we ended up doing. I'd also be open...
  3. Re: QUEENS of the STONE age appreciation thread

No, you are either GA floor or GA balcony. If you're on the floor you can't go to the balcony and vice versa is my understanding.

    Re: FYF Fest 2013

Yes we went last year and we pre-gamed with SonnyBoy who is now our neighbor. We went 2010 and 11 also; I am pretty sure Andrew has gone pre-2010 also but not 100%.
  5. Re: QUEENS of the STONE age appreciation thread

Got one (GA floor). Seems to be sold out now. EDIT: NM, just pulled loge. Keep trying!
  6. Re: QUEENS of the STONE age appreciation thread

Ah, the perks of being over 30. (Er, at least I am. Hehe.)
  7. Re: QUEENS of the STONE age appreciation thread

Not sure if they have a curfew, I've never been at a show later than 12:30 there. Boris will probably go on late-ish, *and* the Echoplex tends to run late so it's possible, but I imagine die-hard...
  8. Re: QUEENS of the STONE age appreciation thread

Didn't it say doors at 6pm? Conceivably one could go to both.
  9. Re: QUEENS of the STONE age appreciation thread

This better not be the announcement of like, a Nick Oliveri DJ set at the Rustic.
EDIT: Well good. Looks like QOTSA, then Boris.

Why is it surprising that someone would listen to Modest Mouse at 12? Not all of us were still jamming to TLC at that age.

    Re: Ben Folds Five

I really really really really really really really want to see a BF5 reunion show. Last time I saw them was at the Palladium in Hollywood back when I was in college. That must have been 1998. Wow.
  22. Re: words people use that make you realize they are a douchebag

Yeah. Hating those words isn't anti-douche, it's anti-intellectual, which is douchey in itself.
