I consider myself to be a moderate fan of the band - I have a couple albums and enjoy listening to their music when I'm in the mood. But seeing them (weekend 2) was possibly the greatest live music...
I live in Regina and got my weekend 2 passes early last week. I had to email them to get tracking information, but luckily, they were already at the post office and arrived the next day. (I should...
Damn is she ever good. I'm thinking this could be my Fever Ray experience of 2013.
Just started discovering her in the last half hour, but I'm loving her music. Looking forward to her show.
I haven't even received an email notice yet for my weekend 2 passes (I'm in Canada so I expect them to take a bit longer to arrive). Were they supposed to send email notifications to everyone or...
I just discovered The 2 Bears this evening, and I'm really liking it. It seems like there's potential for a fun, early afternoon dance party with this one. The song Work is particularly catchy.
I'm completely new to the Stone Roses, but I promised my boyfriend I'd go because he's a huge fan and can't make it to the festival. Waterfall is the first song that has really won me over, and...
My number 1 band for the weekend. I personally think they're more deserving of a headlining spot than Phoenix, but having them lead into Blur and the Stone Roses will make for one hell of a great...
I live in Saskatchewan, the YYYs won't be travelling here.
The only conflict that would drive me absolutely insane is Yeah Yeah Yeahs vs. Blur. However, I'm almost positive YYY will be playing the main stage before the two headliners so I'm not terribly...
That's fair. I'm sorry, my last post was rude. I'm going to hunt for a better example than Blur (although that will be a happy song).
This is true.
I'm picking this track because it's feel-good and even though its Blur I feel like lots of people won't know it.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Sigur Ros. Oh wait...
The two years I've gone I've made friends while I was still in line for camping, before I even got in. You will definitely make new friends fast.
No worries, I was just being a tit with that last post.
(Yeah, I was pretty lazy with the poster colour because I just made this fake on word, but I'm still glad people think it's pretty. Calm down Pea).
I'm going to try this again...

I actually enjoyed their 2010 show quite a bit, but they were the first band that weekend that I was really pumped to see at my first Coachella. So that probably heightened the experience I guess.
This would be great. I want to produce a movie one day just so I can use Polyhurt for one of the scenes. That song has such a cool mood to it.
Coachella autumn festival. A scaled-back two day festival with headliners Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Massive Attack (and Sigur Ros and Aphex Twin sub-headlining).
Sorry, I don't actually think any of them are that "shitty" (except Green Day). I could just see them all as being pegged the "weak" headliner of the year.
A couple random guesses: Soundgarden, deadmau5, Queens of the Stone Age, Green Day, The Smashing Pumpkins (unless its a partial reunion of some sort), Jack White.
I had to go to youtube to figure out who these guys were. With songs like "We Want Some Pussy," "Pop That Coochie" and "Face Down Ass Up," it seems like a set for extreme closet cases.
Not a style of music I would normally listen to, but she was one of my favourite sets of the weekend. Her cute DJ from Montreal was a nice bonus.
I was just going to make a post about how his voice is probably not that great these days and the performance could end up being a let down. But then I watched a live performance of Heroes from a...
I would love this. Especially if they played Chemicals and One with the Freaks. I'm too lazy to post links but those are my favourites.
Another vote for Sigur Ros.
Okay fine, a better example, Smashing Pumpkins headlined lolla after Siamese Dream was released.
Not that I support Mumford & Sons as a headliner, but I don't know where this idea comes from that no band can headline a festival after only 2 albums. Didn't the Killers headline after only 2...
Well that'd be awesome if they played. I didn't snag a ticket in the pre-sale, but it'd make me try really hard to get one in the general sale.
I thought I had read somewhere that Blur would be going on an indefinite hiatus, but now I can't find that anywhere so I must have made that up...
I love breakbot.
Pulp was great. I'm not a big fan and debated even going, but it ended up being one of my top 3 performances of the weekend. Another big surprise was Azealia Banks. Definitely not my typical...
Jarvis Cocker was awesome, and I'm not even a big Pulp fan.
I understand what the Hives guy was doing, but I just found him to be extremely annoying. I'm glad others were entertained though.
I can't believe people are bitching about this set. It was the absolute highlight of the weekend for me. They're my favourite band, so I'm going to favour them of course, but I thought they played...
I'm finally getting around to watching the King of Limbs From the Basement. I'm 2 minutes in and already gaining a new appreciation for the songs.
It'd be kind of random, but hearing Pearly would be great. Sorry if someone already said that.
Damn, that was supposed to be bigger.

Another one for M83.
Blah, festival tent sex is nasty.
Good, everyone is happy.
I get what you're saying Goatchella and don't disagree with it. I have no intention of camping with a specific group or seeking out other Canadians (I'm one of those too). I just wanted to point...
I plan to avoid the other gays at Coachella because they all have better bodies and nicer clothes than me. :(
Is this your first Coachella antiblogger? It's an awesome environment and you're...
Holy crap. I'm just discovering Santigold this evening and I can't believe I haven't listened to her before. She might become my number one priority for Sunday. Favourite Coachella discovery so...
I just discovered them when the lineup was released, but I'm getting really excited to see them. My imaginary Friday evening schedule involves seeing the Rapture, M83 and Pulp in a row (not...
Also having a tough time picking one for Radiohead.
1. Radiohead - Idioteque, Let Down, Reckoner
2. M83 - Don't Save Us from the Flames (unlikely they'll play it though :( )
3. Breakbot -...
I don't think How to Disappear Completely is that unlikely. It'd fit in nice with a setlist that was focused on The King of Limbs and In Rainbows songs.
Let Down isn't a "hit." But it'd make my entire weekend.
Regina Saskatchewan :)
