    Re: Worst Conflicts?

I have to disagree with this. Nico's DJ set is going to be nothing like the DARKSIDE set and both will be amazing. Nothing against Bonobo and Shlomho, both of whom I like quite a bit, but for me,...
  2. Re: FUCK YEAH DARKSIDE!!! (Nicolas Jaar & Dave Harrington)

For what it's worth, that link is amazing and it's still live - you can still stream the set. So, thanks casey!!

Re: What Song Will Outkast Open Up With?

This would be really jumping in with both feet and would get the entire place just bouncing. I'd approve.

But I think GuyInTuscon has it right just above.

VftL and Donato were pretty amazing last Friday in LA. Donato's DJ set was a lot harder than I expected, particularly following their very atmospheric VftL set. And I loved the venue, Complex in...

Yup. But for some reason, he's in super tiny print, while dickweed Martin Garrix is is in huge print. I can't really wrap my head around that.

Hi guys, I was hoping to start a discussion of the relative merits of Hardwell both as a house music producer and DJ. Is this the right thread for that?
  10. Re: SATURDAY- 2014 Set Times Predictions Thread

While it'd be nice to catch some of Nas, I would have really zero problem with this 5 way conflict, and would love seeing Darkside in a nearly deserted tent. It would be somewhat reminiscent of...

  12. Re: FUCK YEAH DARKSIDE!!! (Nicolas Jaar & Dave Harrington)

I loved the mirror, spotlight, fog effect they do throughout the show . . . but that's probably not going to work in one of the tents, is it? I hope I'm wrong.

  17. Re: FUCK YEAH DARKSIDE!!! (Nicolas Jaar & Dave Harrington)

They were freaking amazing at the Fonda on Saturday night! Easily one of the best sets I've seen in quite some time. Perfect, really. Crowd noise wasn't a problem at all. In fact, from where I...

Re: Your Opinions on the 2014 Lineup

This just isn't true. At times, the line was long (or at least looked long), but it moved fast. I never waited more than 10 minutes to get in to Yuma and spent quite a bit of time.

Both are fantastic and, at least judging from Songkick, Solomun had only a few shows in the states over the last few years and none in CA. Really excited for both sets!
  31. Re: If You Like _________ Then You'll Like _________

If you like Tame Impala, you'll probably like Jagwar Ma and Surfer Blood.

If you like London Grammar, you'll probably like Daughter.
  32. Re: Who were you surprised to see NOT on the lineup?

I too, was really hoping for Jon Hopkins, but since he played the Echoplex in December, I'm not surprised he's not on the lineup (radius clause and all that).
