They played the bowl again in September 2011 with Arctic Monkeys and Panda Bear.
That's just about how long Joyce Manor's set was last year.
DIIV was AWESOME yesterday. Perfect mellow Sunday afternoon set. Zachary and Andrew jammed so hard during some songs. They're definitely now one of my new favorite bands.
1. Sigur Ros...WOW
2. Bat For Lashes
3. Local Natives
4. DIIV
5. Tame Impala
HM: TNGHT, Palma Violets, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Cloud Nothings, Raider Klan
That set was unbelievable. Favorite set of the fest BY FAR.
I concur that they were awesome at Coachella 2011
Hell yes! TNGHT is awesome. If they play they will definitely smash it.
Agreed on all counts. Their 2011 show on the Outdoor and their recent Palladium show were incredible. Honestly, they're a band who keeps getting better and better.
Damn that looks incredible. I want this so much. This would be PERFECT to close either the Gobi or Mojave. C'MON GV BRING US DEL
Gold Fields were the best of the fest for me. Icona Pop was awesome too. I thought Of Montreal sucked, but whatever. Great weekend (and relatively cheap).
WOW Talabot was AMAZING last night. American Royalty killed it as well. This is already an awesome festival!

More Replacements news...
So Far (Though I have tons more albums I still need to listen too):
John Talabot- Fin
Cloud Nothings- Attack on Memory
Grimes- Visions
El-P- Cancer 4 Cure
Death Grips- The Money Store...
FUCK YES. They were unbelievable in 2009. Probably got permanent hearing damage from them, but whatever, it was worth it.
Gonna be really hard to top this year's slate of reunited bands, but here's a few I'd love to see next year:
The Stone Roses
JURASSIC 5
Everything But The Girl
Eurythmics
They all already performed during Kendrick's set.
Death Grips. I knew they'd be great, but I did NOT expect them to throw down the best set of the weekend. That was some crazy shit.
They'll get Ice Cube to show up and then a hologram of Eazy-E for an NWA reunion.
Refused was the most violent (and best) crowd all weekend if you ask me. Death Grips had some great moshing moments in there too, as did the Buzzcocks.
I thought Refused had the best crowd for sure.
The rapper from Death Grips was terrifyingly awesome!
I saw all of Flying Lotus then ran over to the main stage, pushed my way to get in front of the first barrier during Bon Iver, then ended up almost front and center for Radiohead. I'm scrawny and...
I agree. Unbelievable set. Death Grips was like nothing I have seen/heard before.
Death Grips and Wu Lyf!
Death Grips was seriously one of the most badass things I've ever seen.
Refused was easily my favorite of the day, and possibly my favorite of the entire festival. Sounded great, amazing energy, killer audience. And unlike a lot of "reunion" shows, the band members all...
Refused had a REALLY intense, hard-moshing crowd. Maybe it didn't appear so on the webcast, but that shit was VERY wild.
Refused
M83
Radiohead
Death Grips
Flying Lotus
Honorable mentions to Wu Lyf, Neon Indian & DJ Shadow
Best set of the weekend. Best crowd of the weekend. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect show!
Madeon. Not even close.
The chick from Le Butcherettes FTW!
AWESOME! Hopefully we can get Vince Staples and Speak! to cameo during their sets!
JOY DIVISION
Actually, Black Mountain also was playing during Roger Waters, which possibly qualifies as one of the worst conflicts ever since Black Mountain had admitted to being DIRECTLY INFLUENCED by Pink...
And Wale went on a half hour late in 2010.
Ehhh. I don't know. I've randomly managed to see him almost a half dozen times in LA, and while he's VERY hit or miss, I've seen him throw down one or two amazing sets. His show at the Music Box...
Last year I brought a bunch of 36 racks. They got in fine. In fact, security really didn't check our booze out much. We got in with way more than was allowed.
Back in 08 I broke my foot on my birthday (still don't remember how it happened) just about a week before Coachella. In all honesty, it didn't end up being a bad thing. When you're hobbling around...
Neon Indian
Death Grips
Yuck
Real Estate
The Black Lips
HAHA I remember seeing them back in early 08, back when they'd pull REALLY crazy shenanigans on stage. They were so fucking wasted, as was I. Two of the members made out on stage, one of them got...
Bummed they haven't been playing "Set You Free" recently. I know they used to a lot. That's my favorite song.
The Black Keys- solid. Only saw them at Coachella in 09. Decent enough. They have great chemistry, have no idea how they are now.
Afrojack- For what it’s worth, he’s got some decent mixing skills...
I can't imagine him directly conflicting with Radiohead. Flylo is very close with Thom York and I feel like they share a very similar fan base. I hope that doesn't happen.
Death Grips are going to be so intense. Zach Hill is insane...one of the best drummers out there.
Living in LA I've managed to see him six times in the last two years. Looking forward to round 7!
Last year Lil B's crowd was overflowing out of the Dome. I saw Goth Trad a couple hours before, put on one of the best shows of the weekend and he somehow only had like ten people watching. SBTRKT...
Damn that Ghostland Observatory set in the Sahara in 09 was AMAZING. I'd be down to see them again, if only for ze LAZERZ.
and then almost nobody actually saw Trentemoller...amazing set though.
Neither do I. Though I will say, ANY news on the Avalanches is great news. I really hope we can hear some of this new material soon. We've been waiting too damn long.
Japandroids put on one hell of a show, so yes, I'm all for this. However, they would probably not be the first band on, probably in the Gobi Tent around 2 or 3.
SBTRKT was awesome last year in the Dome. I'm looking forward to seeing him again (probably in the Gobi or Mojave this time?)
