2013 - Friday Set Time Predictions

HTDA that early?

Switch Jurassic 5 and Modest Mouse. Rarely do you see the Rap/R&B groups, especially reunions, play in the night slots (headliners excluded obviously, but Juraassic 5 isn't exactly Jay-Z, Kanye, or Snoop/Dre).
Switch How to Detroy Angels and Metric. I bet they put the buzzy Trent Reznor project on after dark. Metric has never played a nightime slot. I think last time they played around 3-4.
Band of Horses played on the Outdoor in the afternoon in 2010 (or was it 2009). That's probably a more appropriate stage for them. Maybe in the Policia slot?
Switch Foals with Japandroids. Japandroids are the more popular band, Foals played at 4pm last time they played Coachella. I'd also probably flip Alt-J and Local Natives.

turvy, edit the first post and put in big bold letters that these are fake and only predictions.

maybe put some kind of watermark on the poster itself saying fake as well. just in case anyone posts it outside of this board.

Band of Horses played at like 9pm or later in 2009.... they will be a night time slot again I imagine, especially if they are in a tent. I guess switching HTDA and Metric would make sense too, I just dont picture Metric going from Mojave in 05? to Outdoor in 08 and getting the exact same slot after they've only gotten more popular.

No way will Band of Horses be in the mojave. They will be outdoor or main for sure. Maybe switch HTDA and Band of Horses.

Also, I agree with switching Jurassic 5 and Modest Mouse.

In fact, what if the Outdoor looked like this

Just checked you were right. I could have sworn they played right before Fleet Foxes, apparently they played right afterward. 2009 was my first year and my gf and I didn't want to split up and go see seperate shows, so I ended up getting roped into seeing MIA which was an abortion instead of Band of Horses.

Band of Horses werent on top of their game that night.... I saw them open for Beck in 08 and they were perfect, the Outdoor set lacked a bit.

Will Blur go on that late and end at the very end? That just seems so late.

Switch DJ Harvey and Dam Funk. I don't think DF would get 2 hrs

really good job, i like it. but yeah i don't think they play that late, sound ordinance and all.

as much as it kills me to not be able to see SR, Modest Mouse, and Blur, great schedule.

They are allowed to play until 1am; I just think that seems late for them to start and end. I should probably go look at last year's times -- I'm not used to the new sound cut-off of 1am.

SHM played 11:30 -1:00 on the main stage last year - so what turvey has is completely plausible.

Put Dog Blood above Blur and we're good

edit: OK this may have been a rash decision. Just put ANYONE above Blur and we're good.

Im lovin that Four Tet time slot, nice way to end Fri.

Modest Mouse vs HTDA would be a nightmare. My top 2 for the day.

Agreed. That was the first thing I noticed and the rest of it didn't really matter that much.

Question: Theoretically, if someone watched that entire Stars set on the Main then walked a few feet over and seamlessly began watching the OM&M set on the Outdoor, would they know that it was two different bands? I don't think so.

Only way to know for sure is to trick someone into doing that. Having listened to both bands, i would say that their music is pretty distinct from each other--given the context that both bands play in 4/4, have melodies, hooks, and have a guy/girl combo.
