What's up with the falsetto? Stop. The synths sound too fast and kid-boppy... Some classic Strokes guitar layered throughout but no real hook.
You are exactly right DFrank. Maybe they just wanted to try something new, but it sounds like it's just filler for the album.

It sounds a lot like Julians solo record, with some Strokes mixed in. I really liked the solo record, but I know a lot of people did not.

I really dig it. And I also like One Way Trigger. Looking forward to this album and the hopefully ensuing summer tour we missed out on in 2011!
maybe i've just moved on from the strokes but this did nothing for me. it' not bad by any means, but it's just kind of blah.
