That moment that you go to log on to the message board and after several failed attempts, you then head to facebook and see updates from other board members caught up in the panic of missing out on something. Knowing that you're not alone helps to ease some of the anxiety, but that gnawing feeling of being the last to know still lingers, causing you to repeatedly start pounding on your keyboard with hopes of finding out this now sacred information. Just hold your ponies and be patient, it will come... Granted, the rest of us will already be bitching about headliners, or predicting tent and set times, but hey, you'll have your lineup!

Here are the last 5 years of Line-up release dates:
2012 Coachella: Mon Jan. 9, 2012.
2011 Coachella: Tue Jan. 18, 2011.
2010 Coachella: Tue Jan. 19, 2010.
2009 Coachella: Fri Jan 30, 2009.
2008 Coachella: Thu Jan. 31, 2008.
Seems to be no Symmetry between these dates besides it becoming earlier the last 5 years. Theoretically, if you utilized a Natural Log with these dates, 2013's release date would be today, Jan 8th, but I'm quite sure there are far more rhymes and reasons to why the line-ups are released when they are. My guess is tying up loose ends with potential bands and marketing strategies is what determines when the line-up will be released. It definitely has become a much anticipated event though and I will unfortunately be spending more time than I'd like on researching its release.

Are they going to make a pre-announcement about the lineup announcement?
Like "TOMORROW 5:00pm PST."
They might do a "Next Week" post or start the videos as a indicator it's coming soon, but no official announcement like the above will be made. Between the buzz on here, KROQ, twitter and blogs you should be well prepared for the big announcement.Quote:
