I bought tics yesterday and a camping pass (just because they were cheap). If anyone wants to consider sharing a hotel room, post and we can see what's up .... cr****
Any idea when they'll release the full line-up? Speculations..........
We have a campspot for chillin in between gigs, but we are staying at the Wyndham Garden Baronne Plaza.

I went ahead and got the sponsored hotel, the Hyatt Regency N'Awlins. I'm not crazy about the location, but after suffering a few bad hotel experiences in the Big Easy, I'm choosing comfort over cost.
We looked at that joint..... was 200 beans a nite. Opted for the Wyndham for, I have no idea?!?! My wife booked it and she probably did so cuz its 9 more dollars a nite than the Hyatt HA!!!
I am being brave on this one. We are going to camp in city park. Live the experience as usual. Now if you guys are having a meet up or showers , we love to meet new people... lolz .. cr****
I'd like to meet some of ya'll. Not at the showers either, HA!! Wwe have a camp spot to chill, drink and load up in between sets. Might pass out there if the going gets rough. Co-ordinate meet up efforts closer to date? Whats the weather like down that way if aint all hurricanin'?
Thanks for weather deal!
Koyrp, did they ever do anything in the 9th (?) ward ? cr****
Not really. It was a creepy shit hole before Katrina, it's still creepy shit hole now. Katrina only helped it out a little.
Koryp, I haven't been there since K, really way b4 that. Is sleeping in City Park totally crazy or it could be fun? That is where the fest is right? Do you know how far from camping and the venue is? Fuck you Randy, btw, it is easier just asking here sometimes .. cr****
I haven't slept in city park since back when I was homeless in the 90's. The only real danger then as it is now is the NOPD. Don't fuck with them. Also, everyone steals here. Just accept that. If your shit gets stolen in NOLA, you are to blame. Its best to have ratty looking shit, so they steal your neighbors shit instead of yours, or make it too cumbersome to make off with. Otherwise, camping is close, if you can handle camping at Roo, you can handle camping at Voodoo.
The Roo is an easy camp to me, so sounds like ok. I don't like where we have to park our car "somewhere", who knows, then trek our stuff in. That's how Coachella was one time for me. I spent many a night in the Qtr camping but that was b4 you were born I think, so it has changed a bit eh ...Tnx for the info... cr****
Just booked a house in the Garden District. Can't wait!
so it looks like this fest moved to another part of city park. Does anyone know much about this area? still has nice grass and such?
Hey, so when do they announce the full line-up? Is there a Voodoo Forum? Why is the sky blue?
No Voodoo forum.
Stage announcements September 6 last year. Can't find the interim date when all acts were announced. August? I know they ran REALLY late last year with getting anything out.
The sky is blue due primarily to Oxygen and Nitrogen in the air scattering blue light more than they scatter red light.
We could start a pro board (sorry PF I don't think this is uncool is it?) if we could get some people to at least say we would go there and try to make it click... cr****
haha are you asking Dani to add a Voodoo forum to this board??
The last time there was a voodoo message board around it was a mess of Asian pharmacy, adult friend finder, and home refinance spam. It was as intelligent a discussion board as a truck stop bathroom stall.
Last year the lineup was announced June 23, it looks like July 21 in 2011. The year before, mid-June. So maybe a month or so, plenty of time to make your arrangements!
Check out Nola.com if you want the scoop on any news coming out. It's the go to for any New Orleans related music news. They've also got some good stories in voodoo past as well as info on the new area of the park. We have other more unique outlets but Nola is how everyone gets the local word out first.
