My former roommate and collaboration partner did a pretty nifty remix of I Want Ur Love that I think is going to be appearing on an upcoming remix album or something. https://soundcloud.com/eat-digital/y...i-want-ur-love

That just means your list will be more ambient and new age focused.

This is how I feel too.... I'll be listening to 2012 stuff until the end of January I imagine.
I love those Jam City and Madteo records tho

Re: The Coachella Message Board's Top Albums of 2012
The Jam City album was really great. I won't be ready to compile a well thought out list for a while, though. My picks probably won't significantly effect the collective though. I started listening to certain albums way too late this year.

Hard to get into something so minimal, long and Morton Felmanny that wasn't on my radar until a few weeks ago. 2012 was the year of the shortest attention span yet.
-
Re: The Coachella Message Board's Top Albums of 2012
as for jam city, I've listened to it a bit, it was definitely up for year-end list assessment, but I just don't "jam" with it like everyone else seems to. It's too present in the "I'm blatantly innovating a new techno genre" category and tends to come in as not close/weird enough to vaporwave as it could for my liking.
-
Re: The Coachella Message Board's Top Albums of 2012
btw. any list w/o "bandz..." is not an honest list; at least not in the Atlanta-area.
I mean c'mon: "These chicks clapping, and they ain't using hands", "She stripper-pole her income", "I don't tip, I pay bills, bitches call me buffalo"
dylan was a hack!

yeah, i've listened to it probably two dozen times now. i tend to pay attention to everything that editions rz puts out these days. very feldmany, but more elaborate in most places.
as for the jam city, the criticisms are fair. i like that it stays arms length away from vaporwave. its also just so damn danceable.
