I thought that comment during the speech was rather harmless. I think people just tend to search for little things with which to pile on.

I think she's having trouble with not having information fed to her on a teleprompter. During these live shows, newscasters are expected to ad-lib and chat during these live bits. She's tired, on live TV in front of millions and has all this data flying at her that she has to deliver quickly and effectively. It's really tough to do. Some are just better at it than others.
If there's one thing that really resonated with this campaign for me is Barack Obama's social networking marketing. All of these Meme's (Profile <--- Has Barack's Back), Reddit appearances, twitter updates etc feel so fake, yet it has resonated to the people. With after Obama, it will be interesting who the next "hot young candidate" will be.
