Friday - I saw Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, Jeff Bridges, and Nora Jones. My kind of country! Yee haw! (I'll post pics later). The Palomino Stage (aka Sahara) had a covered floor for the front 1/3 of the tent to keep the dust down. Great idea!
FYI: this is streaming/re-broadcasting in hi def on a cable channel called AXS.
A few stages had that at FYF last year too. I think there were two tents that had a completely plywood/MDO floor. Pretty smart.Quote:

Wow those fields/tents are empty.
It didn't sell out. Attendance is said to be 40-45K, down from 55K last year. This was because the banned car camping & tent camping.
Yeah and last year everyone stuck to the main stage so the side stages were light except during Kenny Rogers. Sad in my opinion, but a totally different demo.
Would love to see the financials on this thing...

I have a friend at Stagecoach and I was surprised that they allowed folding chairs inside. It seemed like almost everybody in his photos were using them at the "Mane Stage"
Stagecoach reminded me of my local 4th of July celebration. People stake out main stage spots with blankets, chairs, etc. and stay there all day for the most part.
Yea I am watching the AXS show just to get a feel of the fest..... We can take chairs into Waka and chill .... cr****
