COACHELLA WISHING WELL 2013

I'm putting this here as well since I know this place gets way more traffic and visitors than the other sections. Anyway, for those interested, my annual "Wishing Well" page is now updated and live for next years upcoming Coachella festivals. Just click the link above to visit it. If you don't know what this is, it's basically a "web app" (or whatever you wanna call it) that allows you to vote/wish for bands to play Coachella next year, by entering them into the form field and hitting submit. The system will then take your vote and apply it to that band, and then that said band will magically show up on the poster on that's on the front page. The more votes a particular band has, the higher up on the poster they will be (headliner, sub-headliner, etc).

NEW to this year is the fact that I came up with an algorithm to divide the poster into three days (like an actual Coachella poster) and each band's spot (and what day they'll be on) depends on how many votes they have. You want to see your favorite band higher on the poster, you'll have to vote for them more (though you can't vote for one back back to back, you'll have to wait your turn). Anyway, I've been doing this the last 4 years just as a way to let Coachella fans see what a poster/lineup would look like if it was dependent on the fans wishes of what bands they wanna see the most. So play around with it or not, but hope you enjoy it :)

P.S. - I made a phone/tablet version this year, so if you visit the url on your iphone/android/ipad/whatever, you'll automatically be redirected to the appropriate version of the site.

I never seemed to be able to figure out how to actually download/listen to any of those fucking recordings. I just went to the site again and clicked around for a minute, still cant figure it out.

I could have sworn you had downloads available before, I take it you got a lovely letter from a company you're a fan of.

AllMusic.com does not have any albums, it just tells you about them. IMDB does not have any movies but it tells you about them.

so a website called coachella recordings, which doesn't have any recordings, exists to tell the viewer that a recording exists?

EDIT: Seriously, I'm not trying to hate on the site. In fact, it is cool and great that someone has a website dedicated to coachella. I JUST DIDN'T GET THE POINT 6 YEARS AGO AND I STILL DON'T GET THE POINT TODAY. So I am asking, what is this coachella recordings website for exactly? Over the years I've just never asked about it simply because I thought I have been overlooking something, and I STILL feel like I am overlooking something about that website, I just dont care about sounding foolish now

Yes.

The idea of the site is supposed to be a one-stop database/place for anything related to Coachella (past, present, future)...whether that be what bootlegs exist, what set times were, what the setlist was, what stage what band played on during what year...anything like that...the site has grown a ton over the last 5 years...it started off as just a few pages saying what bootlegs existed, because way back in the day, when everyone was downloading coachella stuff off Soulseek, people kept asking what bootlegs were out there, and what wasn't....so I thought it would be a good idea to put together a website that would answer all those questions, so that's what I did.

I appreciate the explanation, sorry it had to be spoon fed. Hope I didn't come off as a hater; it is a well put together site. I guess I just got hung up on not being able to find any recordings whatsoever throughout the site. But that was my mistake.
