I want whatever Hieronymus Bosch was taking.

Couple new songs from the album...
THE DAY HAS COME
Well. That was quite the experience. And listening to it certainly does feel like an experience. I'm not one of the devoted yet, I've really only given most of his previous albums a cursory listen or two. Still, I doubt those looking forward to this will be disappointed at all. It's quite unlike anything else I've heard, and it's going to take a long time to unpack. Although I don't know how often I'm going to want to throw it on, it's rather exhausting. You can see why he titled the album with a reference to Bosch, there's a lot that is analogous between it and the painting posted above. Sprawling and very busy with a lot of very striking, unusual sounds and yet somehow still very spare, and the lyrics are filled with a lot of odd vulgarities. It really is too much to take in all at once, and while I'm not sure I'd say I'm looking forward to delving deeper into it, I know that when I do, it will be exceptionally rewarding.
