I was lucky enough to get to go to TiTP this summer. The atmosphere was far better than Coachella. Its more of a open air kinda feel, you feel more free. Theres less security and people are a happy drunk opposed to stoned and listening to depressing music like Radiohead or Godspeed. Of course Coachella kicks the shit out of TiTP lineup wise.

There are a lot of idiots at T but they're easy enough to avoid. T is treated more like a massive party for three days than a music festival as such. A lot of people who attended couldn't name any of the acts bar the one's continually played on Radio 1. Some crazy sing-a-long moments over the years. Blur - Song 2 in 2009 and Kasabian - LSF in 2007 are my favourite.

It would be wonderful to get something like the Dave Matthews Band to just fuck up everyone's game when the real line up is released.

Re: 2013 Lineup Confirmation/Rumors Thread
Not confirmed!
Queens Of The Stone Age have denied that they are set to release their new album in March of next year.
NME contacted the band's management after a reported missive from the band – via FACT magazine – stated that the follow-up to 2007's 'Era Vulgaris' would come out in the spring.
Management denied any knowledge of the image which said that the band's new album would be released in March, 2013.
Josh Homme recently said that the songs he has recorded with Dave Grohl for the sixth Queens Of The Stone Age album "sound like running in a dream".
The frontman, who recruited Grohl to play drums on the album after Joey Castillo left the band, was speaking to Zane Lowe as part of an interview broadcast on BBC Radio 1.
Homme said: "I think this record is a little more lyrically vulnerable, but I also think it's sort of musically deeper and richer, and it's a little bit stranger."
Homme later added that there are "a lot of struggles going on", with the recording but that: "This record basically sounds like you're running in a dream the whole time."
It has been confirmed that both Trent Reznor and former bassist Nick Oliveri have also been recording with the band.
Queens Of The Stone Age will be playing Download Festival for the first ever time next summer. Download Festival will take place from June 14-16 2013 at Donington Park.

Re: 2013 Lineup Confirmation/Rumors Thread
Murs is doing his line lineup announcement for Paid Dues on Youtube and he is reading fans questions on air and he just said "Aesop Rock, no he doesn't want to play Paid Dues but he is going to be playing Coachella this year". Sorry if this is old news this is the first I have looked at this thread and I didn't see it on the first page. This should be archived on Youtube.

On January 11th, Yeah Yeah Yeahs will perform an intimate concert at the 800-person capacity Glass House in Pomona, California. Presumably, the band will showcase material from their upcoming fourth studio album, which is confirmed for release this Spring.
Also worth noting: Coachella founder Paul Tollett owns the Glass House, so there’s a strong chance we’ll see Yeah Yeah Yeahs back in California come April.

Doesn't really mean much as to whether they might play or not. They're playing Lollapalooza Chile 1 week before Coachella weekend 1.
