Why don't you jump in your time machine and go back to when people gave a shit about this topic.
Better start thinking about your legacy. Is this how you want your children to remember you?
Maybe they simply waited until the kid hit adulthood to split.
Maybe Thurston was concentrating too much on his solo career.
My guess is that she wanted more personal attention while he just wanted to mess around and be a scumbag with his young noisenik disciples.
That, and they both wanted to fuck tons of other people.
More news at noon tomorrow according to Sonic Youth facebook aka your question will be answered!
it's probably about sister "deluxe edition" remastered materials actually....
Oh, we're actually answering this question.

Mixed and mastered by the band from the original tape source for this double LP edition w/ download card (or CD or digital edition) along w/ liner notes by Gerard Cosloy and Sonic Youth engineer Aaron Mullan and photos by Pat Blashill and Steven Koress and released by Sonic Youth on their own label Goofin' Records and distributed via Revolver USA.
He probably banged Jemina Pearl when they were working on her solo record.
Sucks to hear about another theft of gear...
Hi -- Thurston Moore had his 1966 (circa) Fender Jazzmaster stolen from the Best Western in Philadelphia (501 N 22nd St) last night 12-12-12 around 12 midnight. It's Thurston's iconic Sonic Youth black Jazzmaster with all the stickers on its body. Here's a couple of photos. A police report has been filed. Please email us if anyone tries to sell this relic to yur store, it would be appreciated. Please forward to other guitar stores you may know in the area.
Their whole truck of gear was stolen the night before a show we were promoting back in '99. Worst day ever. There were many, many sad faces backstage that day.
Guess they have gotten some of it back through the years, though, with 2 guitars being found just a few months ago, 13 years after the theft.
This sucks, but good lord, fool me once shame on you . . .
BTW, here's the answer. If you took "scumbag had a side dish" in the Sonic Youth Death Pool, collect your winnings
It went wrong the day they decided they should be musicians.
