Just got my hotel reserved for $77 for the 18th.Anyone else planned to be there the night before?

We are going in two days early but we are on the Bahamas cruise. Sounds like you got a great deal on a hotel room.

We are staying at the la quinta on the 18th.

Still no reservation numbers! Now i'm getting antsy. Thanks for the tip on the ginger- I've had luck with it in the past with car sickness so I hope it can handle a boat.

I may be in for the cruise, most likely Bahamas based on the dates, but we may decide to do Jamaica. Ironing out some details to see if it will work out!

We are at the Embassy Suites on 17th. I like free breakfast in the monring and free booze in the afternoon. LOL And they are also offering a $50 resort credit right now and rates just dropped $20/night yesterday. I almost booked us at the W using my travel agent discount, but for the two nights we are staying, Embassy suites made more sense.

If it's the embassy suites I'm thinking of (About two blocks from the port entrance?), I have stayed there before. There's a badass Irish Pub across the street and a pretty sweet sports bar across the other street. In the Publix shopping center.

Yup, that's the one. We like the location, close to restaurants, bars, liquor store, grocery store, etc. I think we can walk to a water taxi stop too. The rooms are not the fanciest but they are comfy and have the living room and wet bar area. And the pool is nice.

My Wife and I are going to the Bahamas Cruise :) can't wait! Just out of curiosity does anybody have any tips or ideas of where or how to kill time between 6 am on Sunday, day of the cruise, and 3 pm when we board!

So i'm flying in on December 19th for the Jamaica Cruise my flight says it should land at like around 10. Boarding doesn't start till 10, was wondering if anyone knows the logistics of the port area, can i just go to a bar around there and wait? Are any of you fine people meeting up before boarding?

We're on the first leg - thought long and hard about doing Jamaica but couldn't shake the "sloppy seconds" thought. Arriving Saturday staying at the Aqua Hotel.

Any drinks planned for Saturday night?
