I did the Coachella/Vegas/Coachella thing and made a little celebratory video about it - I think it captures a lot of the spirit of the festival!

Nice work!
I think it needs more coachella and less friends drinking in the campground. but that's just me.
cool idea though.
That's my friend Abby and Iris at 3:32 trying to save what was left of our canopies. We were at main and 110th street weekend 1. Nice work on the video by the way.
This video is incredible. Can't believe I'm going next year!
I love the video. Your Coachella experience was SO different than mine - that's what makes Coachella what it is. There are so many options - so many experiences - so many opportunities for fun. I like Coachella more for the music rather than camping, but that's just me & Tom. Thanks for sharing.
Good job! That was a fun watch. Makes me want to shoot more video.
Thanks everyone!
Yeah - I'm definitely there for the music more than anything, but the camping and interacting with new people is really important to me as well. For me it kinda breaks down like this:
50% Music
25% Camping
25% Coachella Vibe - the art, the support staff, the staging, the technical details of the audio - and of course the many opportunities for great images
I happened to fall in with a fun little group on weekend one and decided to highlight that part of it because it was all so joyous. The cool part is that even though none of us knew each other prior to the fest, I think we will now all be friends for a long long time. That's the beauty of Coachella.
i have never stopped by camping even though i am on site for the weekend, so i like seeing what goes on over there. may have to make the walk over next year!
Awesome video man! Makes me want to be there right now! What did you use to shoot it? I want to get a small video camera to document shows, festivals, trips, etc., that isn't super expensive.
I used a Sony HX9V and really like it.
Great zoom, great stabilizer and it shoots 1080p video and high rez stills.
It's a little sluggish on start up, and the buttons are not well thought out - but it shoots awesome video.
And it was only $300.
Nice work
You're welcome. And if you decide to go with this camera, here's a nice little tutorial/review on the video capabilities: http://vimeo.com/27479517
Right on, thanks for the link. How is the audio quality when you're filming near a stage at a show? Can you still clearly hear the music or is it all muffled?
We were your neighbors a few tents down for week 2. You made me a grilled cheese that was srsly the best tasting thing I ate that whole weekend. Good times. Hopefully I'll see you around next year.
HAH! I remember you guys! Wish I could have partied with you more but by then I was spent. The Chella/Vegas/Chella idea was one of the dumbest things I've ever tried to do.
Glad you liked the "Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sammie"! Hey didn't you guys eat some of my pasta at like 3am on Monday morning as well?
Yeah, I think you offered. But at that point we were so tired we passed :)
Overall, awesome video.
I bought the Sony HX9V a month or 2 ago after reading someone post about it in a different thread and I love the camera. Might have been you that recommended it in the other thread. If so, thanks!
cool!
Fantastic work mate. Makes me miss coachella so much. I hope I can get back one day.
Best video to prep you ....can't wait for the experience again
Love the giant apple juice jug full of Bourbon, classic Coachella.
That was fun thank you!! It had a few but I want more kids getting light shows... No but honestly did you really go to Avicci twice?
