It'll probably never happen, but I could see them as a Friday night headliner on the Main Stage, as long as Sat. and Sun. are slotted with more obvious Coachella bands to balance it out. If the weekend was sprinkled with bands like QOTSA, Perfect Circle, and/or Tool, maybe Les Claypool too, Rush would make sense.

They are continuously one of the top money making tours every year. They continually put out new music that actually stands up to their older output. Probably not, they do well enough on their own, and there is a strange ageism with Coachella fans, but their music is not that far removed from many bands who have already played Coachella. Trent Reznor cites them as a major influence.
Rush will never play Coach. Like Metallica and Black Sabbath.
