Car Camping Pass & Wristband linking?
So what is the deal with them? Are they really linked and did anyone have any problems with buying a car camping pass from someone and not having an original wristband sold with it scanned in at the same time? I'm just reading the same threads from a couple weeks ago, and have no solid answers. I want to sell my car camping pass, but don't want to trade my wristband with my buyer.

Yeah it has to be linked !!!

I will buy your pass from you. I will take that chance. I live in Los Angeles

BumpBump. This sounds tighter for 2013 - they changed the description to read:
Quote:
This pass is NON transferable and will only be valid when used with the festival pass it was purchased with. Example: If John Doe purchased the passes and car camping, John Doe will be required to show ID when checking in.

Wow. They really want to thwart scalping. 2 tickets per household, ticket purchaser must be present at time of entry..
Re: Car Camping Pass & Wristband linking?
thwart
verb (used with object)
1.to oppose successfully; prevent from accomplishing a purpose.
2.to frustrate or baffle (a plan, purpose, etc.)
Re: Car Camping Pass & Wristband linking?
So if my name is John Doe, I better find another John Doe to scalp my ticket to.

Just wait until it goes the way of Glastonbury. When you can only buy your own ticket, and its all in your name and nobody else will be able to use your ticket/wristband etc.
Re: Car Camping Pass & Wristband linking?
Yeah well when we were getting searched at car camping this year we asked them if any people with camping passes not linked to their wristbands got turned away because of it they had no idea what we were talking about. I had a group of 19 people with 6 camping passes and I am SURE we did not keep them all together......anyway I don't plan on trying to scalp so I could care less, just stating my experience.
