No, I think you need to better evaluate who is trolling and who isn't... and that's coming from me, the one who is the absolute worst on this board at identifying legitimate trolls.

Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
I'm taking my 21 year old godson weekend one, who could easily pass for my son. He's got a fiance, but I'm single. Having gone in 2010, it was rare to run into folks up into their 40s and beyond, and I never ran into a single woman anywhere near that age range, so I'm putting those types of thoughts out of my mind. I'm going for the music anyway. What bands would I pass up for nookie anyway?

Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
I'm over 50 and going solo, no teens involved at all...
That means when I was a teen there was no Coachella....
We only had Cal Jam II.
Hmmm, I wonder if I'll be the only one there who was at Cal Jam II AND at Coachella?
-
Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
I want drugs from 18 year olds and drugs from 50 year olds.
What kinda shit does a 50 yo man take?

cialis
-
Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
cialis and ecstasy sounds like one gnarly combination.
-
Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
Nah they don't take ecstasy with it, they just get boners and walk up against the backs and butts of girls at the festival, scaring everyone they walk by since they look like narcs
Not that I know from personal experience or anything like that.
-
Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
I was at CalJamII and and both U.S. Festivals.

well i know that, i'm just wondering what would happen if you were to take cialis and ecstasy at once haha. you can't deny that they stick out in a crowd tho nothing say's narc like an older guy wearing a hawaiian style button up, khaki shorts, tennis shoes, a baseball cap, and sunglasses. am i missing anything?

Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella

Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
the extended stares into the faces of people you walk by
you would probably have a heart attack though mixing those two things at that age

A 4 hour dancing erection that turns to a puddle in the end?

Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
Cool, good to know there's a few other folks who go as far back as Cal Jam and are still going to festivals. This is my first Coachella and I've mostly lurked here getting info to try and be somewhat prepared.
I've pretty much figured I'll be mistaken for a narc or someones' lost grandpa...but anything is still better than sitting home in a rocking chair and decomposing like some tired old AARP member.

Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
I thought Dave Mason's set killed.

Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella

I agree completely. We started walking out during their set and listened to Mahogany Rush most of the way to the west parking lot.
They also sucked at the World Music Festival a couple years later (when they followed Van Halen) at the Coliseum.

Re: Older people taking their teenagers to Coachella
My dear friend, the legendary Nite Bob, was the road manager for Aerosmith during the mid-to-late 70s. He quit right before CalJamII because they were doing too much cocaine. He started laughing when I told him about my little broken heart. They crushed me like only your heroes can.
