Seriously, the amount of people who all of the sudden are walking around all decked out in Giants gear make me sick.

I was wearing my Dodgers jacket last night because it was the first thing I grabbed, and multiple Giants fans all decked out were screaming and cussing me out, "yelling fuck u" "Fuck the Dodgers." Since when did Socal become Giants territory?

So does Melky's cheating and suspension get talked about at all after the celebrating? I know they didn't go back to him but it is something you can ignore? Or is it one of those "it happened let's forget it now" things? Not trying to discredit the Giant's I'm just curious how that all fits in.

I think the fact that they went on a complete tear after the suspension -- I think they went over .600 after the suspension -- and won in the postseason without him will effectively choke off any real discussion of it.

I watched the game from the Civic Center where the city of SF set up that giant screen for us to watch. I recorded this of the final pitch of the game. It was loud.

what would be the point? The only implication here is that they didn't deserve to win the pennant or the WS. Do you think anyone would take such a claim seriously? The Giants certainly didn't condone it, and when they knew about it they did what was right.

The only argument that anyone could attempt to make about the melky business is that it may have affected home field advantage. But then again that was probably more Verlander's fault

Yeah, as much as I dislike the Giants, they dealt with the Melky situation in the best way possible. I thought they were very professional about it and it may even have bolstered their desire to win without him.

Just wonder where he goes now.

If Steinbrenner were still alive, he would demand that Cashman sign Melky to a five year contract.

Nope, he Melky is still only 28. To young for the Yankees to give him a massive contract. Needs to be at least 30.

I've never understood the concept of "my team just won a championship, so i'm going to riot and destroy things." MY sister who lives in the city sent me a video of people burning things in the middle of the street to celebrate.

and your 2012 Gold Glove second basemen is... Robinson Cano??

It was his second gold glove in three years so it's not exactly a giant shock. He is a very good defensive player. The big surprise was Mike Trout not getting one, his catch off of J.J. Hardy in Baltimore is one of the best catches I've seen.

Exactly. Robinson was a lock to win it. No second baseman has an arm like him.
