Re: College Football 2012
Te'o is claiming he was a victim. ESPN is reporting it that way. ESPN is Notre Dame's bitch, apparently.

Re: College Football 2012
College fame is wasted on so many imbeciles. For four years Manti could have had women lined up around his dorm room just waiting to service him. A literal fountain of top-shelf college pussy at his disposal and instead he's banging the imaginary cancer victim. Sickening.

Re: College Football 2012
This is so fucking bizarre. And there's no way I'm buying Notre Dame's line of bullshit.

It seems perfectly obvious that this is not something that would interest him.

Let me be the first to blame his Mormon faith for this debacle.

You'd think with said Mormon faith he'd have had no problem with the "fountain" of women.

I was thinking the same thing. I think him coming out is the logical conclusion.

If he has a fake gf, he most likely has a bf.

Cant wait to see the hollywood interpretation of this mess in a couple years.

Jesus christ. Do you have no sense of humor, no sense of wonder, no appreciation for the bizarre and hilarious miracles that confront us in every day life? This is one of the odder stories I've ever read.

Re: College Football 2012
It's just such a ludicrous, nonsensical scandal. Like a rejected South Park plot or something.

I just hate when a non-sports story dominates ESPN and talk radio. It's an odd story because he plays for Notre Dame, but MTV has an entire show about this exact same scenario which is equally stupid.

Re: College Football 2012
I want to know how this could have possibly taken this long to come out. Didn't his grandmother die the third week of September? We can all agree that this knocks him out of the first round of the NFL draft, right? I mean how could a team possibly get excited about bringing this guy into their locker room? Think of the ridicule he'll receive from his new teammates, the signs opposing fans will wave in his face. You don't waste a high-draft pick on that mess, regardless of upside.

A made-up girlfriend, and a made-up message board alias in the same page.

Didn't Eddie Lacy already knock him out of the first round?

Re: College Football 2012
Catfish show is scripted just like every other show on MTV.
This was a real life scenario by a high profile athlete. Way more interesting to me than steroid or adultery scandals which usually frequent espn headlines. I really wanna know what was going through this guys head. If he honestly felt he needed an extra boost in the sentimental polls to nab a trophy he probably wasn't going to win in the first place. Crazy stuff.

Thank you.
MTV fake shit is not the same as a real person trying to pull this off, and not in a subtle way. Dedicating your near-Heisman level season to a fake dead person is some serious mental case shit. Like, this guy might just go eat people later. Or not, but I'm enjoying the hell out of the developments.

Re: College Football 2012
I hope his draft stock falls far enough that the Vikings can draft him late in the first round. We need Demetrious Underwood part 2 on our squad- http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimitrius_Underwood
