Ok, that's a bummer.. was looking forward to seeing her especially as the Gobi tent was entirely too overflowing to get anywhere near in 2010 so we didn't watch more than a song or two. The excuse is lame. They definitely knew about this gig more than 6 months in advance. They would be much better off to put together a set of the best 1st album songs mixed with some catchy new stuff and then releasing the full album a month or two after Coach.

Hope for an awesome add, but not counting on it... their higher billing makes it seem a tad more likely though.

Apparently Gotye's tour support in the US is Kimbra.
They should replace La Roux with her, as it would almost certainly be a better show anyway.

Difference: La Roux cancelled 2 and a half months in advance. Morrissey cancels shows like days or sometimes even hours in advance.

A lame excuse is a lame excuse. Morrissey's voice hurts. CANCEL the show! Elly has gone on record stating that she's not a huge fan of music festivals. I hate it when artists take fans for granted. Dropping an album straight after Coachella wouldn't hurt La Roux. If anything, it would have helped. But instead they're dropping an album. That's it. Good call La Roux! I should be their manager.

I'd be down with Kimbra. I really hope they get her. She's gotta at least be a guest during his set. But she really needs to be there with her band. I don't know why its taken so long for her to get on the Gotye tour. She would be the obvious pick for a tour mate since she's on his latest single. I'm guessing it was passport issues or something. But whatever the reason I hope she's at Coachella.
