agreed. they should both be there. neither of them are booked though, working on getting Q here for a headline show.

Please. I would love that. Should be fun at the House of Blues but a solo Q show at a small venue would be dope as fuck.
On topic: look at this HILARIOUS review from NME about the Kendrick album.

Possibly the absolute worst review I've ever read. Yes; that is the whole thing.Quote:
Californian rapper Kendrick Lamar has bagged guest spots from his mentor, Dr Dre, and his former collaborator, Drake, for his major-label debut. But like the cover art – which shows baby Lamar on the knees of his gangster uncle in Compton – ‘Good Kid, MAAd City’ is a record more about homeboys than celebrity friends. ‘Compton’ with Dre is all hometown swagger, while ‘The Recipe’ (available on the deluxe edition) is a stoner tribute to the West Coast . It might lack the raw appeal of Kendrick’s 2011 mixtape ‘Section.80’, but it’s a big-budget reminder that the 25-year-old hasn’t forgotten his roots. 6/10
Headliner status in at most 10 years
6 out of 10?? man great music just goes over peoples heads. This is one of the best hip hop albums put together in a long time
This album is seriously ridiculous, one of the best rap albums in a long time... Basically it's The Wall of rap

He really needs to be back next year to do his gk,mc tracks live.
Am I the only human alive who isn't shitting themselves over this record? I mean, it's a technically brilliant record, but there's nothing that makes me wanna put it on again after I listen to it. I give it a 3.5/5... *spoiler alert: opinions are opinions*
Please bring Kendrick back this year! One of my favorite sets from last year! Maybe a Black Hippy set?
you'll get another chance.
and WHAT THE FUCK was the deal with the early set times last night SMH. grabbed something to eat before the show and check twitter to find pictures of Q performing at 8:15...he was the main reason I wanted to go too. VERY glad he came out for Brand New Guy.
Kendrick Lamar is still so fresh to the game, this dude has two releases and everyone is calling him 2pac and the best thing out the west in over a decade....fuck that noise.
Kendrick Lamar is dope, but he hasn't really proven he can stick around just yet,
Good to know.
That whole night was a shitshow. I show up to HoB at 7:45 only to wait in line for like 20-25 minutes around the block... Miss all of Danny and almost all of Schoolboy. They were my main reason for going as well.
[QUOTE=PJandBompton;2574440]you'll get another chance.
is danny the only confirmation you have? what about ab soul, schoolboy or kendrick? maybe black hippy set?
It's nice to have another west coast rapper try to put us back on the map. I love the shoutouts he gives to older West Coast artists "Bump that new E-40 after school, Ya know Big Ballin With My Homies" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBq-H...layer_embedded
If you've listened to the album, you'll love this video.

Ta-Nehisi Coates on Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City: "not simply one the best hip-hop albums I've ever heard, but one of the most moving pieces of art I've seen/heard in a long, long, long time."
Black Hippy set, or anyone from TDE rockin a solo set is much needed for 2013
Black Hippy headling the Paid Dues Festival in San Bernadino in March. There's still hope for Chella!
Just saw his performance on SNL, and instead of having a crap DJ, he had a live band! Poetic Justice sounded nice, added a nice sax in there.
Hope he keeps it that way while he tours GKMC
That being said, very bummed out that he won't be at Coachella this year :(
I think the crowd would've been waaaay more into it
And this would be amazing
