A lot of Omar's solo stuff live is fairly underwhelming, unless he's having a good day or you brace yourself. I have followed him to many concerts and felt the same, with the very huge exception of The Mars Volta pre-Amputechture. I think it's awesome he's back playing bass with a punk rock band, can't wait to see that.Quote:

This and Refused are my most anticipated sets this year. I had the extreme pleasure of seeing At the Drive-in in Austin during my Texas years, and I am here to tell you that they will not disappoint. I know that my personal hopes are probably getting a bit out of control, but those of you that said that they aren't likely to play anything prior to In/Casino/Out are just straight up wrong. I would actually be very surprised if they didn't play Initiation. I'm also holding out hope for Starslight and Embroglio. I recognize that they're probably going to play a very Relationship heavy setlist, and I'm ok with that. I also know that their set is going to be probably 90 minutes tops.. and I can accept that as well. That having been said, I would expect them to slam through a lot of songs in that 90 minutes, and some of those are going to be for the hardcore fans.
Did they ever play 90 minutes even at stand alone gigs? I would bet they might not play for more than an hour...Quote:
