Re: Fuddruckers vs. Five Guys burgers
When I was a kid, the first place in town to get the Super Street Fighter 2 arcade machine was Fuddruckers. It was one of the ones that was like a big screen TV with the joysticks a couple meters back. I love you Fudruckers!

Carl's isn't comparable to the rest because it's a thin greasy diner burger. It's good if you want that style of burger and they have the original IBC root beer on cask, but to me there's a clear distinction between the two styles of hamburger and I don't compare them. In n Out and all the fast food joints like 5 Guys would be in this category for me. My favorite thin style hamburgers are Blimpy Burger in Ann Arbor and Dirty Martins in Austin.
Well put. I generally like thin greasy burgers the best, but that's a valid distinction. Big fan of Burger House in Dallas.
I, too, think Seamus is overrated.

Real Burgers or McD's wannabees! Not a tough decision. OK, maybe it is, since so many are wrong!

Never tried Burger House. I find it interesting that Texans love thin greasy burgers. It's the opposite of the stereotype, but after living there for so many years I found this to be common.

Their burger is ok, but I'll eat it just to get those rosemary and olive oil fries. Possibly my favorite.

There's 7th st and bell, Cityscape downtown, Scottsdale Fashion Square, Scottsdale Road and around Greenway, etc...
But like I said, fuck 5 guys. Unless you're into that sort of thing.

Texas also does real cheese/cheddar fries (Snuffer's, etc) better than anywhere else in the country, and am no Texas apologist.

There's one on Mill in the old Coffee Plantation location and another on 44th and Thomas.

Re: Fuddruckers vs. Five Guys burgers
So i tried Five Guys...not bad. Fries could've been a little crispier, but ya know....is there another burger joint in AZ that is a must try?

Re: Fuddruckers vs. Five Guys burgers
Why on earth does anyone go to Shake Shack in NYC when they have The Burger Joint and Island Burger available? Both are far superior. Crinkle cut fries can fuck right off for a start.

Re: Fuddruckers vs. Five Guys burgers
Visited Smashburger today for the first time. One of the best I've had. Way better than Five Guys.
