Boys Noize prepping live show for 2011
Despite an abiding love of Australia in summer, Boys Noize won’t be hanging around for a holiday after his Summadayze shows. Speaking to inthemix from his home on a bleary Berlin morning, the electro maestro explained why he’s jetting back to Germany “the day after” his last gig.
“This time I have to be back in Europe because I’m working on a live show,” the DJ, producer and label boss enthused. “There’s an opportunity for me to present it worldwide on a big festival next year, so that’s my big goal.”
Just what worldwide festival that will be ( Creamfields? Global Gathering?) is anyone’s guess, but there’s certainly enough in the Boys Noize arsenal to fuel a riotous live show. “I’m getting a bit nervous because I have no partner for this one, I have to do it all on my own,” he went on. “But it’s important for me to concentrate on that. That’s why I’m also taking no shows until April next year, so the Australian dates are just an exception.”

I'm predicting a dodecahedron.

That's a lot of sharp edges.
If this set happens I'll give it a shot, but in all honesty last time I saw him, it was good, but not mindblowing. Hopefully Sahara magic will prevail.

Re: Boys Noize to debut live show at Coachella
Could be talking about Ultra, considering he's already confirmed for that one.
Of course, I kind of doubt it. If he was debuting a big new live setup at Ultra I would have assumed he would have been billed higher than he is...

Your wall didn't do this. You should be tossing your phone at those kids. Just be PLUR about it.

Re: Boys Noize to debut live show at Coachella
why toss? I'd expect a more aggressive throw.

Accuracy?

Re: Boys Noize to debut live show at Coachella
What needs to be accurate about this? I assume your wall is a fairly sized target which stands in a reasonable distance.
I think an aggressive throw should suffice.

Re: Boys Noize to debut live show at Coachella
Someone explain to me what the difference between a Boys Noize "DJ set" and a live set will be without mentioning lazers, lights, or shapes.

Re: Boys Noize to debut live show at Coachella
They actually move the knobs on their noisemaker thingys.
God, Cara.

I don't want to break it ;)

Re: Boys Noize to debut live show at Coachella
I'm all for Boys Noize (especially live) being there but is he really headliner worthy?

He normally uses cds, so im betting his live set wont involve them. Not to mention all the lazers, lights and shapes.

Re: Boys Noize to debut live show at Coachella
When it comes to Boys Noize, I don't care if it's live or DJ. Same with acts like Groove Armada, SMD etc.
Should be fun though. Boys Noize killed it at Sasquatch.

It will be only Boys Noize tracks is one difference, not sure if he has a visual set up to go with it so not sure if lazers, lights and shapes really are something that is being added to this. Being as the article said he's doing this all by himself I'm not expecting a visual set up to come along with it, sort of like Deamau5 would always be live but barely got a visual set up to go with it this past year.
