LOL. I'm still baffled about that. You guys just got unlucky.

Yeah, but, if I can get like a 2 hour nap between Sunday afterparty and Old Miami, I might actually stay long enough to see some of the bigger names that play there instead of laying half dead in the grass and then ditching before noon.
I have some choice words for a certain Mr. Bell about making me indulge in some very grueling decisions (not saying it wasn't worth it though).
I stayed in Dearborn in 2010 and it was just awful. I nearly skipped Monday because I just didn't want to deal with getting down there. Had to rely on weirdo candy ravers that forza found online for rides. It's also an amazing feeling being able to walk back to your hotel for a mid-day shower. I missed Greg Wilson and the very beginning of Terje's set for that in 2012 but it was totally worth it because I probably would have been useless the rest of the day without it.
City Club is definitely open, my friend that I'm staying with posts about going there on FB all the time. I'm just not sure what the deal is with the hotel part. Some of it is definitely no man's land.
It's a shame there isn't a better story to go along with getting kicked out of a party that has KHOLE signs everywhere.
They're invited to my bubble bath after party.
Also, that Echologist album is certified dope jams. Kind of samey across the whole record but it's such an engrossing sound, I don't really mind.
Ha yeah. Kid has excellent taste. Is he coming this year?
He is! We'll have a huge crew this year, I think, for a few reasons.
Yeah, I figured it'd be most everyone from last year (because one you go DEMF, etc) plus a few more add ons. Everyone I've tried to convince to go is bitching out though. One kid is going to EDC Chicago, but he's not really into adult rave time yet anyway so he's better off there. Someone I know online was going to come, and it's 100% his scene, until I told him I was staying with another guy and all of the sudden he's not going because of "several reasons" and "finances," and instead is thinking about going to WMC. And people spending their money to do all sorts of other boring ass shit or not being convinced that it actually is as amazing as we all know it is. Which is fine, it's not like I'm lacking in people do grind with all weekend.

My suggestions.
Found a bi-level 400$ per night condo downtown. Im booking it.
I'm going to be attending this. Not sure on our housing arrangements yet but if anyone wants 3 nice fellas with Midwestern charm to stay and pay their share in rent, let me know.
I think our capacity is already maxed but ill let everyone know when it is set in stone.

There are some other nice lookin places unrented downtown is people are interested.
One of the people that is coming with is the brother of my friend that is working the event. I guess I am not sure if staying at his place is an option yet.
and doing all their drugs the first night
My advice- go to Interface Sunday night (lineup is insane) skip the k holes and hot crotched bj house at old Miami, get destroyed Monday night.wake up, get BBQ, homies chill hour at old Miami on Tuesday
No way im skiping old miami, that was one of my highlights last year. Im also strongly considering the boat party because i need somewhere to dance that wont be 5000 degrees.
Fuck skipping Old Miami. Getting there when they opened was perfect. We laid in the grass drinking Ghetto Blasters, eating breakfast, talking about what we'd seen so far that weekend, while listening to old Motown records. When we first got there, it was SF homies everywhere. Couldn't have been a more perfect morning. Once the place starts getting packed and it starts getting hot, can always split for the festival (I went back to the hotel and slept for a few hours and felt great).
The Need I Say More lineups don't necessarily hold a lot of appeal for me this year but that place is perfect in the morning.
Old Miami on Monday is tradition. TRADITION.
John Talabot tour dates makes him look likely for the 27th

28/05 - New York - Music Hall of Williamsburg

01/06 - Montreal - Mutek Festival
So Movement just announced that they're doing a Disclosure show in Detroit on April 12. Do you guys think that this makes it more likely or less likely that they'll be at actual Movement? Do acts that play events with Movement in the name in previous years typically play the actual festival or not? I know Disclosure is probably a long shot because they're playing a daytime Primavera and then a daytime London festival on the Saturday, then they're playing Sadquatch at some point too, but I'm really hoping. Would be so sweet if they hit movement on the way to Sasquatch but that's a pretty packed schedule. So many good festivals around the world that weekend!
Sounds like they will be in detroit...
1 month before the festival.
Techno is not about staying cool.
