we've been talking about it a bit in the funny picture thread. There's a was a bit of a debate about it actually being some other band, but it turns out that it was a fake bandcamp page that was set up and it actually is bieber slowed down. it has been pointed out that it sounds like Animal Collective in a way.
i actually really like the whole 35 minute track despite what it is and downloaded it.
So...that's that.
that song is fucking amazing.
It only gets better the more you listen to it. And shit, AC+Biebz collab in the future?
I doubt the source song has anything to do with it. That software automatically adds "spectral smoothing" which is why it just sounds like broad synth washes. If you slow the Bieber song down without any such smoothing it'll sound all janky and uneven (even with keeping the pitch in the same place.)
Honestly, I bet you could slow down any pop song and get much the same result.
Biebstep.
Needs moar bass. Delicious Bass.
Sigur Ros, get it right.

It's real.
"Update: Just to be clear: This is not a hoax! Some of you have been emailing to say that this is actually a track named "Echoes Across the Astral Wasteland" by a band called Photon Wave Orchestra. Well, it's not—speed up the track eightfold and you'll hear "U Smile" (really, you can hear the chords and lyrics to "U Smile" if you listen to the slowed-down track). And check the "released" date on Photon Wave Orcestra's site. I guess it's a counter-hoax? But either way: This is 35 epic minutes of Justin Bieber."
I'm going to start a counterfad by making pop songs out of sped up post rock anthems.
Sounds rly pretty. Like for a score for a movie or something.
Even after knowing that theres that spectral swoosh effect added to it.
It might sound like AC's music, but it sounds nothing like Noah's vocals. Y'all be trippin.
OK quick someone speed Sigur Ros up 800% and see if its really just old minipops tunes.
This is all kinds of cool.
It sounded like a soundtrack. I hope Daft Punk doesn't sound like that.
the dude used really shitty warp/pvoc shit on that.
a friend of mine did this for a mariah carey song a couple years ago... it was 40 minutes long and not quite as discernible as this... it was stretched a bit further i think.
So, paulstretch's algorithm sucks for shrinking music, so my post rock idea is a bomb.
800% stretching of the Lemonheads sounds like a Sunn O))) song, so far, though.
Bieber on an illegal dose of sedatives for 2011.
Any Sleigh Bells song sped up in that program is comedy gold.
I bet if someone slowed down a Die Antwoord song Yo-Landi would sound like a normal human being and we might even be able to decipher what Ninja is saying.
On my iPod..
Slower down?
Slower downed
