We're not hungry, our bills aren't late and we go out pretty much when we want. But, big trips like Coachella need to be planned. I'm pretty okay with that for now.

I bring home somewhere in the neighborhood of $720 dollars every 2 weeks, I made a bit more 14 years ago, I peaked at around 34K a year at age 30. I have no savings but everything gets paid on time and I spend a ridiculous amount of earnings on concerts and travel.

I don't have a bank account because I never paid off my overdrafts at BoA when I left CA and I'm so far in debt, I'm afraid my student loan companies would take all my money. Hand to mouth.

This. We even pay extra 200 bucks extra on our mortgage every month. We also have a sizeable chunk in savings, but we don't touch it except for home repairs. It usually takes a month to pay for festival expenses (flight, lodging, tickets, etc) in pieces without having to dip into savings.Quote:

That's pretty much where I am too. My house is close to being paid off so that is a plus. I only have a single income and have only had one now for about 15 years so it's a stuggle sometimes because I suck at money. I guess I gross about 70k before all the tens of thousands of taxes .... grrrrrr .... I do have a good retirement program of sorts. I will never be rich but they will pay me about 60k a year when I quit and pay me until I fall over dead which could be next month hehehehe .....
