I really don't think they would be put on the mainstage again. My bet is that they will be a night time Outdoor act... but I hope they don't close the stage.

Hot Chip has played the last 3 out of 4 years and they are one of the most unlistenable bands out there.

I can understand this. To be honest, I am a litte skeptical on the Crystal Castles confirmation. But who knows!

As for Gogol, when I talked to Eugene last year, I asked him if they were playing in 2010, and he said that they haven't gotten an offer yet, which he said probably means they arent going to play. When I talked to him yesterday, he said they got the invitation a little while ago and just recently confirmed. He then went on to say they are playing Bonnaroo and, maybe, curating a stage. So, I really don't think he was saying they are playing Coachella just to make me happy.

I just find it funny how we consistently disagree on bands. Hot Chip last week was one of the greatest concerts of my life. I still cant stop thinking about it

It really is kind of comical. I am excited for Tron 2 and the soundtrack though. That is something we share in common! And, of course, we will always have Vampire Weekend.

I can probably go back and check to see, but as of right now the only one I remember from last year is Edward Sharpe because that was the one that sparked the debate on whether or not we should include the "word of mouth confirmations".

I think word of mouth confirmations should be listed as "rumored" until an official confirmation from the band comes out.

Last year the bands that were on the list that were confirmed this way were:

Vampire Weekend
The Cribs
Edward Sharpe
Dirty Projectors
Mew
Baroness
Girls

I think all of those played except for Mew and The Cribs who were initially on the lineup.

yeah, that's what I do, but after looking it appears that word of mouth confirmations are actually very reliable.

Wow, yeah, all those word of mouth confirmations were on the initial line up last year.

Coachella isn't late spring, and if the tour follows the album release, then I guess they won't be around until after. But on the other hand, available for festivals...

Asobi Seksu's new album will be titled Fluorescence, according to what appears to be a prematurely posted press release.

Royksopp touring in March. Hmmm.

And don't forget that the only reason Mew and The Cribs did not play is the volcano. I think they both cancelled on the Thursday or Friday.

I also missed that Sunny Day Real Estate and Iglu and Hartley were confirmed that way too.

I wanna see Ladytron....

They were pretty terrible in 2006.

Lol. The Very Best arent one of my favorite bands. I liked their albums and they were fun live. Thats about it. The Very Best are an unimaginable amount better than Hot Chip though.
