It's good Paul, the sound is good, it's a pretty big place(think a bit bigger then a House of Blues), try to get there early for a good spot. Watch it though, it is in a sketchy part of downtown SD. There will be a lot of bums in the area, and a smell you can't quite figure out.Quote:

To be honest, I actually enjoyed the COachella show better just because of how much I dislike the HoB venue. It's fantastic if you have good seats, but they pack that bitch way too tight to the point that at least half of the total audience has obstructed views from under all the banisters and shit. The Coachella audience was a lot more laid back too.
I had a blast though, just should have gotten better seats.

Oh so Ocean Beats was FUN. I wish more people I knew went instead of bailing cause the music was fucking great. I can't wait to hear what Eliot Lipp drops at LiB and Reset. Anyway, very chill crowd. Everyone around me was dancing the whole time. Oh will people spread the word that it is not acceptable to interrupt one's groove to hit on them with a cheesy line or to grind up on their ass? Some of you guys are completely clueless.

Soundwave is what used to be Canes. I think Live Nation owns it now, along with the Wavehouse. They remodeled and made it a little more upscale. The new layout is a little better...more room around the dance floor area.Quote:
