Saw them open for Grizzly Bear last year. Their live performance is pretty dull, but they do sound good. I'm really into Teen Dream so I'm planning on catching their set.

delete. .can't find the performance i was looking for.. doh
Cant wait fro Beach House! they re one of the only bands i cant wait for sat
i really like beach house, although i only have the devotion album. however, i probably won't be seeing them live at coachella unless there are no conflicts or i'm simply exhausted. my mentality at coachella is to party and dance and that generally involves seeing the more exciting live acts. Example: I really love Cinematic Orchestra, but I had to choose Hot Chip instead in '08
I don't understand all the descriptions of their live show being "dull". Not sure what you're expecting. Their music doesn't exactly lend itself to jumping wildly all over the place or a crazy pyrotechnic display. I saw them opening for Grizzly Bear as well and I thought they were absolutely bewitching.
Here's a nice little live video they did for pitchfork (can't embed it):

I bought Teen Dream a couple days ago, and I'm loving it!
The CD comes with a DVD of videos for every track on the album, each done by a different director. I haven't watched it yet, but it sounds cool.
Saw them a while back in Tucson, at the Solar Culture Gallery, with Old Time Relijun. Good show, the lights and fog made it so dreamlike, and it was my first time hearing any of their stuff, I'd recommend! I should probably get Teen Dream though, I didn't know they had anything new out.
want to know what brings the goosebumps? the soaring "norwaaaaaaaaaaay" 4x at the end of said track. with that discernible harmonized note right beneath it.
ahhhhhhh so good.
Ahh this album is growing on me so much, definitely one of my favorites so far this year. Their set should be good, but it's definitely not a MUST see for me.
The crescendo in Used to Be gave me goose bumps on the first listen but I immediately took to the whole album after Droste's recommendation on Twitter. Now I'm trying to dig on some of the older stuff which is a little hit or miss for me. I only wish they were playing back to back with Grizzly Bear on either day.
The idea of Girls and Beach House conflicting with each other terrifies me.
Beach House will be GREAT!! They're playing early in the day when you want a more mellow ethereal vibe, and, I would imagine if ever there was a time to, "be in it, to win", Coachella is it. I like their chances of kicking Saturday off to a perfect start. My only concern is that they might be up against Girls. Which, would lead my overwhelming sense of local pride to lead me to miss Beach House for some "pizza and a bottle of wine..."
I'm sure GV realizes that Girls and Beach House are two big up and coming bands that attracts the same type of crowds and wouldn't want them to conflict. At least I hope so.
Nice:)
check out this remix by The XX and Jarvis Cocker!! @ http://wp.me/pL8mh-2y
Check it out, it has nothing to do with Beach House! ???
Smoke a J and watch the DVD that comes with this album. You will not be disappointed.
Saturday in the Mohave will probably start off with Girls ---> Beach House. Bank on it!
God, that would be great.
"Would be?"
Will be.
I already became obsessed with the idea of Beach House in the Gobi around 7, so that what I'm truely pulling for.
I really like the album, especially the song "Walk in the Park". I have only two problems with the album. All the songs sound very similar, and I hate drum machines. I don't if it is or isn't a drum machine they use, but it sure as hell sounds like one.
