Re: Final Headliner/ Sub-Headliner Prediction Thread
Thom Yorke won't be in the Sahara...nor would he be on the same time as Gorillaz.

First, he could close out the fest the way several Sahara acts have instead of competeing with Gorillaz. Second, have you heard his solo album? Electronic right? LCD transforms their studio efforts into a full band setting and plays in the Sahara. Why can't Yorke?

Re: Final Headliner/ Sub-Headliner Prediction Thread
It's an interesting prediction, for lack of better words. Still, I believe Jay-Z is simply being talked about because nobody fucking knows what the story is with this "mystery headliner", and if anything Jay-Z is a decoy thrown out there by Goldenvoice.
fin.

Re: Final Headliner/ Sub-Headliner Prediction Thread
Last time I checked, the Sahara is for "dance" music...
-
Re: Final Headliner/ Sub-Headliner Prediction Thread
There's occasionally a rogue act in the Sahara I don't consider dance music.
-

Hmmm, if I can critique your picks, I think your Outdoor Closers are too consistent with them being all influential 70s/80s acts and I don't see it happening all 3 nights.

For the sake of them conflicting with Soundgarden.

People "dance" to a lot of shit.

Re: Final Headliner/ Sub-Headliner Prediction Thread
Hell, if Thom Yorke weren't Thom Yorke, I'd stick The Eraser in the Gobi.

So wait how is Jay Z a headliner prediction when he is headlining the Staples two weeks prior?

Re: Final Headliner/ Sub-Headliner Prediction Thread
Every year, we are surprised by at least one headliner. They managed to keep Rage, Waters, Portishead, Prince and The Cure mostly under the radar. I'd be really surprised if we saw Muse-Jay Z-Gorillaz. It's just too predictable.

Portishead were never under the radar. THey were pretty much guaranteed when they said they were releasing a new album.

Whatever, music sucks anyways.

Predictable isn't the right word. The only one of those that anyone would have predicted a couple months ago is Muse. If it turns out that Jay-Z and Gorillaz headline, it's not that they were predictable choices but that they were choices that managed to leak.

Re: Final Headliner/ Sub-Headliner Prediction Thread
Pointless fucking thread is fucking pointless.
