wouldnt Drop the Lime be 12am-1:30, Alex Metric 1:30-3am, Huoratron 3-4? Thats how it was supposed to be at the Dada Life gig back in November with Huoratron...im hoping its the same. Huoratron wont go over well at 10pm.

That's the most accurate way I can describe his set.
I didn't get a great look at what he had in his podium, the only thing I really saw was a DJM-800. I think he was primarily just adding effects on to a pre-recorded mix. It is possible I am wrong. Otherwise a lot of posing. Going for a whole political satire thing... Sebastian For President and all that.
Destructo started off with some good tunes, but devolved into the generic soul-less grating electro that is popular these days. Also, he served as a reminder as to why mics & djs are a bad combination.
Sharooz was good. I forgot that he had come to Avalon since I moved here. I generally enjoy him.
And save the opening and closing sets, that's last night in a whiskey-filled nutshell.
Appears that presale for Crookers has sold out... Lord it's going to be a crowded Friday night.
Would someone be so kind to explain how one RSVP's for control? I'm tired of having to show up before 11 to get in when buying presale. I know you have to be 21+ but thats about all I know.

Short answer: I don't know
Long answer: Drum and Bass was never really my thing. Although I am not actively offended by it like I am by "brostep". My main draw for this night was MJ Cole, who is no longer on the bill. On the flip side, Avalon is usually a pretty cheap night out for me... and the only other thing I'm contemplating doing (Little Boots at Skybar) I'd be going to alone (the main friend who'd be interested, coincidentally, will be working at Avalon). So odds are likely that I'll be at this... it'll just be more of a game time decision.

It would be better if there were no little dragon show... as it is, we probably won't realistically start till 10:30 for our first set, so will only play for 30-45 minutes.... and the last set will probably end up starting a bit later as well... But I know they're doing the best they can given the circumstances. And we will be happy to roll with the punches.
The whole reason Little Dragon attendees are going to be able to stay is to get the main room opened for Control earlier... They'll have us start from the balcony while they cear out Little Dragon's equipment, load in Anoraak's equipment, and build the DJ booth for the rest of the night.
I've been DJ'ing for over 15 years at this point (which is kind of scary in and of itself) and I have to say that I have never had as weird a night from a technical perspective as I did tonight.
Nothing like having 3/4 of your mixes fucked up because someone elsewhere just decided that they were going to cut your monitors while you were in the middle of the mix.
That said. Fun night. Fred Falke killed it. And he played both his remix of Dancing on My Own AND (and more importantly) his remix of Golden Cage. Super nice guy too. Really hope that he comes back soon.
