I don't know what your dad drives but if he's a train buff he'll appreciate a set of train horns to mount on on his ride.
Below are the AirChimes that I've got mounted on my Freightliner. I purchased them from a friend who works for Union Pacific in Colton.
Something to think about for next year. Here's a link.

My dad has had a model train store for 20 years, and i worked there for 7. I could probably answer any questions you'd have about that stuff if you're interested

I'm hearing Paul's snicker after that sentence.

Would his store happen to be in Burbank?

Re: The Christmas/Holiday Spirit Thread
'Twas only Thanksgiving, so I hadn't a care. We were up at the Tram, 8000 feet in the air. It was there that it hit me, on the coldest of nights. I looked down on Coachella, and saw all the lights...
Up until then, things just didn't seem right. Something was missing, and no snow was in sight. So, as I looked down at those twinkling lights, I started to feel all that Christmas delight.
I started thinking 'bout gifts for the ones that I love, the 12 days of Christmas, and of course, turtle doves. The stockings, the tree, and all of that stuff, but, I stood there thinking the lights were enough...
As we went down the Tram, I held on real tight, to that magical moment that hit me that night. I still haven't shopped, with only 8 days to spare. But, I've gathered some of the magic, I thought I would share...

Yes, it's in Burbank. there's a couple train stores in Burbank. it was originally called Bob's Trainland, but for the last 15 or so years it's been called Victory Station.
it's more gear towards slot cars and collectible memorabilia now, but he still deals in buying and selling older train collections

I can remember as a kid in the early 70's spending most of my allowance at Burbank House of Hobbies and ....I think it was called 'Marv's Toys"? on San Fernando? Can't remember....think the same street that Zody's ,
Pup N' Taco and a theater was on. Maybe Glenoaks?
Hey. Is there a place around there, maybe a machine shop that had the scaled down working models of steam engines? Think it was on Victory?
How about L.A. Live Steamers next to Travel Town... My old stomping grounds...

I am really not sure what to think about that song. Are they supposed to be some sort of joke group? Like, Tenacious D/Flight of The Concords/Lonely Island kind of thing? Are are they supposed to like... not a joke. I am really confused.

Re: The Christmas/Holiday Spirit Thread
Got some concoction that's a cross between Gluvine and hot rum drink on the stove right now with a bunch of spices in there. Two cheese fondues and one dark-chocolate one on deck. House smells pretty good about now.
We're house #1 of a 3 house holiday party tonight. I'm gonna try to convince the others to carol along the way.

Re: The Christmas/Holiday Spirit Thread
Santa doesn't care if I've been bad or good anymore, and Pete's not much for all the Christmas Drama, but I'm still like a little kid with all the decorating and lights at Christmas time, so we compromised... No real tree because there's just no space, and I'd just put little touches of Christmas decor here and there... That's compromising, right? Ho,Ho,Ho!!!
