So...Um... Scott Walker please
I feel like I have been missing out on something for a long time now but ever since I saw "Scott Walker: 30th Century Man" last night I feel like I now know the secrets of how all of my favorite bands get their inspiration.
I doubt that he would ever do such a huge event as Coachella but fuck, with the right stage production I could see him pulling off a set reminiscent of Portishead. Make it happen.

Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please
Apart from the fact that he doesn't play live, this is a great idea.
-
Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please

-

I suspect that he doesn't enjoy it. Otherwise, he probably would.

Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please
Anyone with any interest in music needs to at least attempt this.

Yes "The Drift" is a great record and fans of it should check out DAVID SYLVIAN's new record Manafon. Awesome!

naw. I think he would do something quite exclusive like play the roxy. its pretty scott walker-like to do the opposite. He's not exactly a conventional dude.

Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please
Why is it cool? I didn't follow. Is it because of the movie?
This thread is my first time giving him an extensive listen. I like.

Outdoor theater @ least. And they would need to close the main and gobi to prevent soundbleed. But this is getting too crazy to think about.

Radiohead, Bowie, Jarvis Cocker, Muse, etc would all be there to see it. That would be the Coachella get of the century. It just wouldn't fit in the tents.

Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please
How about we just pop in some Scott Walker records in the old CD player and play it through the main stage soundsystem? Maybe watch the Secret of Nimh, too.

Also, this may be nearly 6 months old but... shut the fuck up, Beavington.

Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please
He couldn't even perform in front of an audience for his Later ........... appearance so him playing Coachella is not likely going to happen.

I saw that video. looked like he played to an audience to me. unless I'm crazy.

Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please
Maybe they were watching a prerecorded thing? I've seen that too... and I remember them dimming the lights for it. I thought it was to create a nice mood. Perhaps it was to see the screen better?

Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please
I'm bumping this thread because I just now started listening to him. And love what I've heard so far.
-
Re: So...Um... Scott Walker please
I've been listening to the first four songs of Nite Flights a lot recently.
