Official Confirmed Artists for 2010

I've had acts tell me they are booked and then not show up on the lineup. Plans change. You've seen people drop off the poster after the lineup announcement. Imagine how many changes occur in the build up to it's release.

If he was claiming Edward Sharpe was headlining or subheadlining Coachella, then I wouldn't believe him. He is hardly claiming that though. i heard them both confirmed here on the boards by various 'sources', i'm referring to confirmed as in the context of this thread, not confirmed by GV or Coachella, etc.

what you're referring to is acts like Madness, who were also never actually confirmed, but were announced.. that's not what i'm saying.. i'm talking about "board confirmed from various sources"..

The Police was never confirmed. In fact, Dani pretty much said "The Police will not be at Coachella. Stop believe that they will at Coachella."

Well... it's not so much that their not Sahara material, they definitely are... my issue is since their youngins for electronic music, if they were in the Sahara, they would probably get a day spot, and that..... would suck. a lot. They are a night act, there's no way around it.

But, Coachella will probably put them in the day, and we'll be left wanting a better show....


Unless....

Their in the Do Lab... then that would be perfect!

About the Police, yeah I'm pretty sure Dani waited till it got out of hand. She tends to ignore rumors unless they become so big that they consume the whole board for weeks.

Besides, Leonard Cohen's fan community seemed to know about a US tour way before the announcement, and he had a vote or two in the lineup pool, so it's not like no one was talking about him.
