Fuck yes. That'd be so much better than the Forum or Verizon Wireless.

Re: Muse - The Resistance
Love the band, huge fan. But I really don't like the album title. Then again, I usually don't' give a fuck what an album is called, as long as the music is good.
Can't wait!

Those were easily two of the best shows of my life. Stunning live band.
I was at the Forum show, about 5 people from the stage. But the show that blew me away was when they played at Soma in San Diego in '06. 2nd best show I've been to in my entire life. Made a life-long fan out of me. Got tickets the day of off of Ticketmaster after it was super sold-out already. Absolutely incredible.

I had a ticket for this show, but I couldn't go. My friends didn't shut up about how amazing the SOMA show was. Atleast I was able to sell my ticket.

my friend bailed on me a few days before the show, so i basically traded my two 17th row seats for one second row seat. it was worth it.

It was just unreal that we got to see them in a GA room when they were playing stadiums only a few months later.

Re: Muse - The Resistance
Next time MUSE play SD it will be coors(cricket amp) like at SS. Or cox arena depending on the time of year. Juststeve who opened for muse at that show? it has been bugging me for a while.

except black holes and revelations didn't exist yet. Alot of the big sound from their recent live shows, comes from bh&r.

Re: Muse - The Resistance
I've seen them play The Greek Theater, The Forum, Verizon Wireless and San Diego Soma.
The Soma gig was by far my fav. It just had a raw vibe to it, and think about it..Muse's massive energy, trying to be contained in a small place like the Soma!
Was awesome. They opened the show with Map of the Problematique.

Re: Muse - The Resistance
Fuck. I was hoping them working on a new album was just a myth.
I'll be in the Sahara

One of the most ridiculous posts I've ever read on here. Already bitching about Coachella, lawlz.

Re: Muse - The Resistance
But a lot of autumn tour dates are with U2 :/ I'd much rather see them on their own.
-
Re: Muse - The Resistance
Well they're supposed to begin touring in August. I'm not sure if there referring specifically to the U2 dates or to their own tour. I'd imagine the U2 dates would coincide with their solo dates.

I think the Forum was a stronger performance/better set list though (Citizen erased and two encores). Maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was my first Muse show and I was much closer but that show was just a mindblowing experience for me.

Re: Muse - The Resistance
The important thing here is a headlining quality act is releasing a new album in late summer/autumn, hasn't headlined Coachella yet and hasn't played said festival in two albums now... HINT, HINT! GV let's do this, you know it would be one hell of a show.

But its them in a small theatre, it doesnt matter, cause at that time they were paying Absolution and like half of Origin Of Symmetry at shows which is heavy as s**t. Wiltern show in 2004 was insane, so was SOMA in 2006.

A band that's also one of the best live acts on the planet right now and was headlining Glastonbury while playing early afternoon time slots at Coachella.

Definately agree about that Soma show. It was my first Muse show and without a doubt my best Muse show. I was front row on Chris's side and they blew my fucking mind, went so far beyond my expectations. That show was one of the main reasons why they're one of my favorite bands.

Have fun with all the girls who had no idea it would get that rough and got pulled out? What a mess Ill say that the whole time, I was like 6 or 7 back at the begining of the show, and ended up one person behind right before main set ended.
-
Re: Muse - The Resistance
Yeah, similar situation here. Was about 1/2 way back at the beginning of the show, and was in the same place throughout when they opened with Map of the Problematique. But as soon as Chris busted into the bass intro to Hysteria, everyone went nuts and soon I was about 8 people from the stage. :)

Yep, respect, the time is now.

Re: Muse - The Resistance
I'm sure they will tour for this album non stop for a decade like they did the last one.
-
Re: Muse - The Resistance
At least 2 1/2 - 3 years.

Re: Muse - The Resistance
anyone catch them at Brick by Brick in SD? Forgot what tour that was...
