im totally feeling this track! Love the vocals and keyboards... the drummer having a double kick bass suprises me... I cant wait to see these guys live sometime this year.

Depeche Mode are seriously the greatest band in the world. Their stuff never fails to impress me. I was afraid that their new song would be the end of them, that their time had come, but obviously I was... wrong! wrong! wrong! wrong!

Amazing track, just what you'd expect from DM. I knew as soon as Playing the Angel came out in 2006 that they were still a force to be reckoned with. Ageless and legendary.

Assuming anyone will have a copy of their ultra deluxe version of the album, I'm sure I'll be shelling out big bucks for it, just like I did for Radiohead and NIN.

You need the records, having a greatest hits by a band like this isnt how you do it. If you wanted to try harder paul, get singles 81 - 85 and 86 - 98, that covers more good stuff. Plus get Black Celebration, Music for The Masses and Violator.

Depeche Mode are the first band to utilize the new "iTunes Pass" feature with their new album Sounds of the Universe.

$18.99 up front right now gets you two songs: "Wrong" and "Oh Well (Black Light Odyssey Dub)" and the rest of the album will follow presumably on April 21 when it's formally released. Extended singles, remixes, videos, and other exclusive content will gradually be added until June 16 when the pass expires.

Very interesting concept, but they could totally fuck people over and not add anything exclusive and hence make the nearly $20 price tag one big "WRONG" rip-off. Hopefully that won't happen. It's also not clear what, if any, of this exclusive material will also be included on the deluxe boxset edition of the physical album. Time will tell.

no no no no no..the greatest hits stuff doesn't really dig into the good stuff. Knowing that you like Wrong and AQOT tells me that you prefer their upbeat stuff and that you won't like their dark eerie stuff, so now I know what song list to create for you. I shall send forth soon.

One thing I will say - as a true DM diehard:

I HATE the album art. I wasn't feeling the new logo when i first saw it at the press conference, but now that everything is in place on the album cover - I am severly disappointed. I find it very ugly and hamfisted in design, but maybe that's just me.

Give me album art of old - Masses, Violator...etc...

I posted this in the OTHER DM thread but it seems this is the official one now. I love that they're coming to my 'hood, but I HATE that it's the very last stop on a very long tour. I'm going to get a tired DM that just can't wait to get their asses home.

Then again if they DO play Lolla, all I hear about them and festivals is not exactly pretty stuff. I'M TORN!! (but totally leaning towards Lolla and probably my hometwon show too :p)

Sacred, Behind the Wheel, Halo, Suffer Well, Fly on the Windscreen, Strangelove, Rush, World in My Eyes, Blasphemous Rumours, Lillian, Freelove, Nothing, A Pain that I'm Used To.
