i will take hipsters and amoeba employees over hippies and headshop employees any day, although this is not to say these groups are mutually exclusive. if ur at a party chances are the hipster will have better drugs than the hippie. hipster is one of those dumb words that no one would ever call himself, but is used to describe others, ala 'punk' or 'goth'. calling yourself these things would be embarrassing. we all know these terms are ultimately vague and somewhat useless.
darjeeling got better on second watch. life aquatic i didnt really bother to watch again. darjeeling at first seemed like wes anderson doing his best impression of wes anderson-- in many of the humorous moments, where u smile more than laugh, something about the pacing, the still close framed shots rich with quirky ironic little details -- these moments seemed to be trying to do royal tenenbaums humor again, with less success... the points where baldwin is narrating and the beautiful futura text comes on the screen to label the item of interest being described; this trick made trt charming and smart, slightly offbeat-- and were never as successful in darjeeling. but in watching darjeeling again, i knew what to expect/not expect, and i was able to focus on the tender, endearingly flawed relationships among the three suit-wearing brothers (u have to suspend disbelief and pretend the three could possibly be brothers).. loved the scene where they pass around the drugs they picked up in town. owen wilson being so overtly lovey to the two others who are reluctant to emote... the bored nonchalance of all three... and the pretty indian chick on the train... i guess i discovered a lot to love.
give it another watch, drummer.. ?

rushmore was so fucking pretentious and lame that i wanted to cut myself
darjeeling limited was so boring that uwe boll movies started to sound intresting
life aquatic was alright im neutral on that one
and of course royal tenenbaums was great
ive seen each of these movies at least twice or more
and i agree with rockstar
its all about the coen brothers
Re: what would you rather do
Personally, I love Tennenbaums...think it's a great movie
I'm not a great fan of Darjeeling, but I find it difficult to imagine not being entertained at least by Bottle Rocket, Rushmore and Life Aquatic...oh well

Explain in detail how Rushmore is pretentious? I don't get that at all from it.
It's a funny movie about a love triangle.
Re: what would you rather do
Life Aquatic> Tenenbaums
Sue me.

You really need another avitar. The Coen brothers are brilliant, hilarious, and completely original. You have none of these qualities. Might I suggest: Michael Bay, Brett Ratner, or whoever the fuck directs all of Martin Lawrence's comedies or the auteurs behind the Scary Movie franchise.

Cohen Bros. = Inconsistent
