I assume that you're American, and therefore it's quite understandable that you don't 'get' the arctic monkeys, it's really a Northern English phenomena and I'm suprised anyone outside of the UK really likes them to be honest. They're fun live, but only if you're down the front having a sing-a-long, not much fun to watch from a distance.Quote:

I totally understand that people from the USA wouldn't be able to relate to these lyrics, and for me the band are 95% about the lyrics and relating to them, if I lived in Europe or the USA they'd mean nothing to me either and I wouldn't like the band.
Same with the live show, saw them at Reading last year, down the back it was boring and rubbish, nothing to look at and just doing the songs as they were done on the album. Down the front singing along with a load of pissed up Yorkshire men I was having the time of my life. Muse were the opposite, lots of fancy stage shows and effects and guitar fret wanking, but it left me cold, yes, technically very good, but all surface no feeling.
As for Iggy "fuck fuck fuck" Pop, get some tunes you pathetic sixty year old sex pistols impersonator.
