I'll argue this. I don't watch many new episodes, but most that I do see are surprisingly funny. It is much better than it was a few years ago.

I thought the movie was awesome for a while, but eventually it just kinda started feeling like a long drawn out episode and I got bored with it

that's because it got so bad that our expectations have been lowered dramatically. go back and fill your head with any episodes from seasons 5-11. then watch a new one and tell me it's surprisingly funny.

I can't even differentiate most of the time. They're all funny to me. It's probably my favorite show - I hold it close to my heart.

Not quite a decade. I remember some good stuff from 99.

2002 had some of the funniest simpsons episodes ever. I'd say 13 is one of my five favorite seasons.

My favorite part of all of it -- other than life imitating Simpsons -- is the part of the news report where the waitress reveals that the guy had a tab. A tab! At a family diner serving all-you-can-eat fish dinners.
