Re: Death From Above 1979?

Now do you and Jesse [Keeler, the other half of Death From Above] still talk to one another?
...ahh...[pause]
If there's nothing to say, there's nothing to say.
There's nothing to say.
Plus Sebastien just came out with his own solo album this year... so... yeah. Sucks i know.
Re: Death From Above 1979?
I'm betting Sebastien Grainger & the Mountains to be there.
Sorry to stink up the thread...
Re: Death From Above 1979?
Yeah they really really don't like each other. During their final shows they would get into arguments onstage. To add to the trivia: the reason they chose "above 1979" as the add-on was because it was the absolute minimum amount of characters needed to be exempt from copyright issues with James Murphy. More trivia: DFA shortened their label from "Death From Above" to the acronym because of 9/11. Seriously.
Re: Death From Above 1979?
Our only hope now is WE ARE WOLVES !!!!
Re: Death From Above 1979?
AL-P was the producer of DFA.
I saw them open for NIN and QOTSA on Halloween 2005.....still one of my favorite shows to this day!

I was at their last show (didn't know it though until later) opening for NIN/QotSA in Calgary. Damn it was awesome!
MSTRKRFT is cool too though - seeing them in 2 weeks. Curiously, Sebastien is playing 2 days later with Metric :)
Re: Death From Above 1979?
As much as I'd love for it to happen, it never will.

Re: Death From Above 1979?
DFA1979 reunion WILL happen one day.
Re: Death From Above 1979?
they were fucking great on the nin/ qotsa tour
Re: Death From Above 1979?
hey jesse do you have the link for that quote?
an interview or something?
Re: Death From Above 1979?
One of my biggest regrets, musically speaking, is missing DFA1979 when they were in Phoenix - And I don't think they will ever reunite...they really seem to hate each other and seem happy with what they are doing now.

you lucky shits. first time i heard about them was in summer 06 - by then i thought they were a side-project of MSTRKRFT, not the other way around
sg + the mountains don't sound that bad, wouldn't mind checking them out if they came for coachella
Re: Death From Above 1979?
If it ever happens, it won't happen any time soon.
