And to spend half the day on your ass.
Also, fuck, I talked last year about a board get together for winter fun but nothing ever came of it. Inviting individuals seemed more feasible.

I think I may swing out to Mammoth with Goat and a few people this winter. We're also talking about hitting up Snowmass and Steamboat out in CO some time in the later part of winter.
Toss some dates around on here and keep in touch of what you all plan on doing.
I have four days off every two weeks and a disposable income. I'm in.
Well, I have a Tahoe Heavenly season pass that is good at Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Beaver Creek. Vail and Breckenridge seemed like the 2 more popular CO resorts so I might as well use the pass. Just trying to get a feel on which one others prefer.
Hopefully, I'll be in Mammoth the week between the President's holidays in February.
Nakiska opens October 27th so I'll be there. Sunshine opens November 8 so I'll be there. This winter is shaping up nicely.
Fuck yes.

Picked up a new board last week. Pretty fucking excited. It's an Arbor Coda. All mountain rocker.

I'd like to venture outside of CA this year with the kids. What are some good resort recommendations for a family of intermediate skiers preferably close to a city where Southwest flies? A village atmosphere with lots of activities and very little shuttling around once at the resort would be great.
I really like Utah for family-friendly skiing/boarding. We would to drive to Brianhead or Mt.Holly/Elk Meadows (now Eagle Point) when the kids were little.
Since you are flying, Park City or The Canyons would be good. I don't remember how old your daughters are, but Brighton (not a destination resort, mostly caters to locals) lets kids 7 and under ski free.
Hey there Tahoe fans. Check it out.

So excited for this weekend, that storm will be here in Colorado going to Loveland.
I'm working this weekend so I have to miss first chair at Nakiska. The over time will be sweet and this also guarantees that I wil be at Sunshine for first chair.
I'm trying to plan a winter backpacking trip with some friends in December. We're hoping to do either Death Valley or Joshua Tree. Has anyone ever tried winter backpacking in these places? I'd love to hear about it or any other good winter packing trips.
You're doing it wrong
The season is just right around the corner for Southern California resorts! The snow/rain is falling. This season needs to be better than the awful one last season.
Hitting Stratton in 8 hrs.
Woot.
Spoiled. It's been freezing here for 2 months and we still have no snow except for what the machine are pumping out. I'm on the tip of Lake Superior and we used to get Great Lake effect snow and the last few years nothing kicks in until March.
Just booked a trip to Jackson Hole. Fuck. Yes. So pumped!
Have Fun. Im jealous. I hope to make it there this year.
I picked a bad winter to take off. It's been fun but the snow has been lacking. Going up tomorrow and Friday as we have recieved a few inches in the past couple of days. Growing a beard.... Becoming a ski bum. Life is hard work.
Denver.
Anyone doing Mammoth soon? We'll be up the 14th - 18th. Gunz, how the hell do you get to go mid-week?
Sorry, I Can't figure out how to post the acual video. It's pretty awesome, though

My school district gives us a week off around President's Day. Izzy is going up with my brother, his family, and my parents on Wednesday. I am so jealous. How ridiculous is it that I envy my 7 year old child?
